We Designed a One-of-One Chassis for This 1966 Bronco Build
Jason walks through a 1966 Ford Bronco sitting on a completely custom, one-of-one chassis that FFG designed from scratch. This is a full independent front suspension setup using upper and lower control arms and knuckles pulled from a current-gen Bronco, paired with a Coyote motor and full 4x4 — all on a chassis FFG built for the first time.
The owner had been eyeing this Bronco for years before finally convincing his buddy to sell it. When it came in, the body needed more work than expected — new fenders, hood, doors, and quarter panels just to get back to square one. From there, the build plan got serious: metal fender flares (not plastic), a roll cage, flush mount glass, custom rock sliders, custom billet door handles, and custom billet mirrors with a late-70s nod. He wants this thing fully functional — spare tire carrier, driveable anywhere, no trailer queen.
There's also a color coming on this build that FFG has never done before. Never painted it, never done an interior in it. Jason's keeping that one close to the chest for now.
Stay tuned — this one's going to be something special when it all comes together.
