Rob walks through the FF 4x4 Chassis front to back at the 2026 GNF100 show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This one's built for a 1968 F100 short bed with a Godzilla swap and 10R80, and it's a solid look at what goes into a purpose-built 4x4 classic truck chassis.

The FF 4x4 Chassis is FFG's in-house built chassis designed specifically for classic Ford trucks. Every mount, hard line, and suspension component is pre-staged for your year and cab configuration, so dropping a body on is straightforward. Whether you're building a driver or something that sees real off-road use, it's engineered to ride like a new truck.

Starting up front you've got Wilwood brakes with 13-inch rotors, a Redhead steering box set up for hydroboost, and a sway bar. Suspension is a parallel four-link up front, triangulated four-link out back, with Locked Off-Road 12-inch coilovers dialed in for around 7 inches of lift. Icon is available as an upgrade if you want active suspension control. Out back, 35-spline chromoly axles with a Currie setup and 4.11 gear ratio. Fuel tank is a 30-gallon aluminum unit from Boyd Welding. Available in 5-lug or 8-lug depending on your application. Current lead time on a 4x4 setup is about 6 months.
