staying and I left my backpack out there
with the keys to this car. So, I had to
turn around, go back out there.

brother-in-law's family's car, and it
got stolen from them, and they found it
out in a farm field, stripped the tires
and everything. And so, they got it,
they restored it, and then one of his
siblings wrecked it, totaled, salvaged
it, they bought it back from the salvage
yard, fixed it back up, and it's got
336,000 mi, and my parents dropped it
off a couple nights ago so that my wife
could have a car today while I was going
hunting.
This is one of those cars that after you
drive it for about 20 minutes, it starts
to smell like some really good toast.

Okay. I just saw a deer
out in the field literally like 200 y
right there. The dog was barking at it.
And I'm going to go see if I can shoot
it.
Well, I didn't see it. I don't know
[snorts]
if it ran off or walked away while I was
getting ready or what,
[snorts] but it's cold. Um,
yeah, we had just got here for
Thanksgiving. It's like 10:00 in the
morning or 11:00, but it's a lot colder
today than yesterday.
And um the dog started barking and I
looked out and I saw some move through
the trees. It had to have been a deer or
a ginormous bird, but I'm pretty sure it
was a deer. Just a couple like a month
ago, I shot the first deer I've killed
since my
grandpa passed away. And it was special
because it was with his old compound
bow.
It was uh it was this guy right here.
And it's a little
two three-point buck. Um and the very
first deer I ever shot was with my
grandpa
and
it was the same as like a little
three-point buck. And so it's special to
use my grandpa's bow to kill a deer that
similar to the first time I killed the
deer.
And so that that was really special. And
now I'm getting to I'm able to hunt with
this this bow right here that uh we
named after him. It's called the Grandpa
Bob. So it's special to be able to
remember him [clears throat] in specific
ways. I've got about an hour out here.
We'll see if anything comes by. Well, no
deer,
but an amazing Thanksgiving.
Great time with family
and a herd of ducks.
