The ultimate buyers guide for you archers out there who want to get targets targets
Maybe for your backyard
Targets that you throw in the back of your truck that you take with you to elk camp
Targets that you can bring indoors to shoot through paper and have a backstop
Targets that you can put a Vegas face on I have a lot of targets
I want to break down the good the bad and the best at the end of this video
I'm gonna tell you my number one pick best bang for your buck. Let's go
This is the Delta McKinsey predator target is my first arrows in it
All right, so in today's video I'm gonna touch on a few products some arrow case holders
Some bow cases, but ultimately I want to break down targets. So this is new to me. This is sent to me
I did not pay for it. Also doesn't mean I'm sponsored. I don't work with this company
They're plain. Oh, they've been around for a long time
This is pretty slick. This is the arrow
Max case from Plano this holds six arrows double H
latches pretty sturdy
Arrows don't move around again hold six
This could be a good
Traveling case with you or something you throw in the back of your truck and it protects I got a broad heads and fill points
In here, so this is definitely something that I'll probably use this fall and throw this in the back of my truck
It's nice to keep your arrows
Securely stored away. The other options I have is this guy this guy and this guy
This is the first one I ever bought
It's just this Easton tube. I don't have any arrows in it right now
It does work pretty good. So like you could just want to throw some arrows in in this Easton case
This is that deluxe case. This will hold a lot of arrows and this is all my elk hunting arrows. So I
Typically build these arrows up find them all perfect straight spin awesome
Then I screw on the actual broadhead. I'm gonna use this year for elk and then I don't shoot these arrows
So this is a brand new never-been-shot knock
455 grains podium two-piece
Parallel Pro X 10 and then I have basically a single bevel standard from iron will
Ready to rock. I have a dozen in there ready to go for elk season. So that's something that I do there
Then Matthews came out with kind of like this cool backcountry fly-fishing
Case is what I would call it. It's got this clip right here and
The clips pretty slick. I'll grab a few arrows here and
If you're like an elk hunter who does the backcountry and you you know, you're like worried about bringing extra arrows
This will be a good way to do that
Maybe you like to shoot grouse and you want to bring some judo points and maybe you'll lose arrows when you shoot grouse or whatever
so this kind of just slides in here and
It's really firm like rigid and then you can just slide this in your backpack and you kind of have extra bullets
I think if you're looking for like price point, this will probably be the least expensive
This will probably be the most expensive and then these two options are pretty comparable. So I just use this case this weekend
I took my bow
Camping with the family and I wanted to bring my bow. So this is a nice soft case the zip works really well
I'm gonna flip this open and you can see it's got this double foam on the bottom here
So you can just slide your bow in it's got a really nice fit to it
And I just took off my stabilizers slid the bow in and then up here was enough mesh
netting where I could put my
Engaged leg limbs back bar front bar and then I just zipped it and then you can clip here
over the top I
Think this is right around
$209. I think it would be good for like I'm gonna use this
I think this fall for when I'm going elk hunting
I'm gonna keep my backup bow in this case just in the back of my truck locked and then this is
The field locker and I have never opened it. So I'm gonna do that right now with you guys
So it's like you have a lock here for you. I don't know if I see TSA locks
So when you fly with a bow and you tell them
It's a bow. They're probably still gonna snoop through your stuff. Once you check your bag
If you put your own lock on it
They may call you and have you like come open it up and give it a look. So typically I run TSA locks
And then I'll just keep them, you know
I don't put my own lock on it and I almost always find that little TSA card that hey we snoop through your stuff
So, I don't know you guys have to work that out if you're flying, but let's check it out. So here that's easy easy
Over over over
Wow, that's actually pretty damn nice
customizing your case determine your layout and
Then make a cutout so this is cool
Plus accessories so you could put your arrows right here
Egg carton foam you're gonna cut this out based on your limbs your limb pocket your cams
So I'm probably gonna wait to do that
Until I get a new bow and my next new bow for 2026. We'll probably go here and
I think this is a I don't know the price point
I didn't look it up on this again Plano sent me this the other case and the arrow and said
Let us know what you think which means I don't have to review it. They're not paying me
It's not a product placement a lot of times these things that I tinker with are just my own personal interest
I like gear and I like find out what works best. This is a very like in first impressions
This is a very very nice bow case. It looks like Plano probably knocked this one out of the park
I didn't see TSA locks. I could be wrong
I would like to say see TSA locks because then I can lock it and know that TSA can unlock it snoop around
No issues. So this would be a great case for traveling and flying have bow will travel
Let's move on to the meat of this video archery targets. So three six five archery
I believe they're they're out of the Midwest. I want to say, Minnesota
They make several different sizes so
24
36
48 and the design is going to be the same for all of them. So
Essentially what you're looking at is this part your insert and then the back part this part right here velcros and
Then this will come off and pull it out
So regardless the frames are always just going to move up in size, but it's the same premise
Okay, and then all their cores will have different and this one's been shot quite a bit
But you can see they also make different sizes of cores 10 inch 14, but that sucks like that's definitely a downfall
This is my least favorite part of the target. So I'll show you what I mean
So I'm gonna take this let's go to this side since it hasn't been shot as much
I'm gonna get it lined up
Okay, and then they have a little cutout handle
So we want that to be on top
so we'll take this guy and
Go here
And now we can sit this up right like that
So the thing I do like about that design is that it's easy to transport if you're going like to out camp
You can pop the insert out. This will lay flat. It doesn't take up a ton of room in the back of your truck
I would say three six five has good durability
This part should last you the frame forever and then you're just looking at replacing a core now Morrell
This is the high roller
This is a great design because it's kind of like a dice that you can literally just throw out and wherever ends up and shoot
It's got really good foam
It'll last a pretty long time
You can see on the one side of the dice
I've shot the ---- out of this thing and it's pretty much cooked
I could probably get an arrow to go all the way through but if I flip it over on the sixth side you can see
It looks pretty good
Starting to shoot that out. So this is a good target. It's good foam. It's a good price. It's a good size. I recommend it but
There's two other brands I want you to know about one would be the matrix which is I don't have one here
Tyler dinner from elk shape gear runs it it is several little targets put together
Really good dense foam. The guy is out of Montana. He's a die-hard bow hunter
I'm not here to talk about that one today because I don't have one to show you
I think that's a really good option. And the last target I want to show you is probably the one I'm gonna recommend the most
This is the new predator target from Delta McKenzie and
I like that. It's got grip here and there. I believe it's gonna be 48 inches
It doesn't matter and it stands up on its own with no kickstand, which is great
The other thing I like about it
So I'm taking to this to elk camp because when you go to elk camp and you take like a small target
It does kind of limit you how far you can shoot at camp
This really opens up the door to taking shots out to a hundred yards
At elk camp, which I like and then check out this cube part. Just keep tapping and it's out. So here's your cube
We got three. I
Like this one for your horizontal and vertical line a four dot
another one of those and
This for like your long-range single dot shots
Pretty easy. You just go here and it goes in
Like that. I don't know how much it weighs
But it's not heavy and it just feels really stout
Arrow removal. This is a cinch to pull arrows out and I think you can get some broad heads in it
And I think the target will last and you can replace the core
They also make a 24 inch version of this but all in all this is just a great
Target I like the size and shape for your backyard
for your archery range
For backing up a 3d target a lot of times
We'll put one of these behind a 3d target just in case we miss we don't lose an arrow
And throw it in the back of your truck going to elk camp. This is a great job
This is made from Delta McKenzie big shot archery and that's just a brand that's been around forever
Shipping wise these are about 60 bucks to ship to your door
So if I had to rank them, I would say this is probably my new favorite target
I'm giving it a straight-up honest review as this is great material. I love the height
I can back up my 3d targets. I could put a Vegas face on it
I can replace the core I can change out the cores and if I hit a broad head anywhere in here or field point
It's coming out like butter. It's easy to move. This is definitely first place
This is like a target that I'm excited about only thing. I don't recommend is the cheap bag targets
In fact, let's finish the video. I'll show you what I mean
so back here if you guys check this out as these bag targets if
You shoot a field point that is wider than your arrow
It's gonna be tough to get out if you use hot melt
Sometimes your components will stay in them. You can't shoot broad heads to them
They will stop arrows and they're I guess they're good for like high volume of shooting
I personally just don't enjoy shooting bag targets
In fact, if you live near me and you want to swing by elk shape studio, you can have both of these
They're not getting used. This is gonna be so I do have two of these predator targets
God you guys did a good job
Guys, we know the elk season is right around the corner. We know that separation is in the preparation
We appreciate your support get yourself something that will last a long time
You can shoot broad heads fill points into it and take it with you to elk camp because it'll be here before we know it
