Russian Z blogger Anastasia Kashevarova writes that Ukraine is actively using jet-powered drones to strike deep into Russia, and that Russian mobile fire teams are unable to intercept them. She published photographs of debris, which she described as the remains of one such drone. The propagandist says that Russian fire teams cannot shoot them down.
The photographs show the same damaged component from several angles. Visible are a cylindrical metal body with a round, open end, an elongated container, and charred fragments of the casing. This is a separate part of the destroyed device, and not the surviving drone as a whole.
The publication reports a massive attack by jet drones on the occupied part of the Luhansk region. Kashevarova also claims that similar devices were used to attack targets deep within Russian territory. Kashevarova's main complaint concerns the capabilities of mobile fire teams. Her report points to difficulties in intercepting new targets, but the assertion that such teams are incapable of shooting down jet aircraft remains the author's assessment.
"Yesterday, a massive influx of jet-powered drones was recorded in the Luhansk region. Their estimated speed was between 600 and 800 km/h. Mobile task forces are unable to shoot down such a drone. Jet-powered drones were also used in today's attack deep into Russia," she wrote. The main secret of jet drones' power lies in their colossal speed and high maneuverability, which are achieved through the use of turbojet or pulsejet engines instead of traditional propellers. This allows drones to quickly penetrate air defense systems, effectively intercept aerial targets, and quickly launch strikes, minimizing enemy response time. However, the price for this efficiency is increased fuel consumption and a shorter flight range.

Recently, unusual Russian drone, capable of rapidly accelerating to 800 km/h, was spotted near Odessa, according to Oleksandr Kovalenko, a Ukrainian military and political observer with the Information Resistance group.

According to his data, the device initially traveled at approximately 250 km/h, after which it suddenly accelerated to 800 km/h. The drone then slowed to approximately 500 km/h and continued its flight. Kovalenko suggested that these figures could be related to testing of a new propulsion system for Russian drones. He speculated that this could be a jet engine for one of the Geran-4 modifications.
