MAJOR Yankees Move Incoming - This is PERFECT...

A major New York Yankees move is incoming that we have been waiting for all season long as multiple reports have come out on the Yankees as they are only getting stronger but this also means with this move a separate one will be made regarding a young player and after a very hot stretch by one of the newest Yankees it's pretty clear what's going to happen with this upcoming move and we're going to break down why this move honestly does work and makes sense for a veteran Yankees team that wants to win the World Series this year believes they fully can and are only getting stronger in their strongest area while also solving a big problem that does impact Aaron Judge when it comes down to outfielding and who's going to be in the outfield with the hot play of a new outfielder on this team and guys a lot to go over on this video but real quick make sure to go ahead and subscribe to Yankees Zeit just so you can get free Yankees videos every single day on this channel and not miss a single upload guys we got videos coming out daily it is completely free as I mentioned and 66% of viewers are not yet subscribed but jumping into it there is a lot going on with the Yankees right now because Aaron Judge is obviously back but he's not fully back he's dhing he's not playing full games and even though he's not feeling any pain the Yankees want to make sure that he's not going to get re-injured and they're going to take things as slow as humanly possible with them but he's not the only Yankee coming back from an extended absence and this absence has been way longer you saw who it was in the intro video and in the thumbnail it's none other than Clark Schmidt. Schmidt has spent his entire career with the Yankees and is impending free agent in the upcoming season or the upcoming offseason I should say he has not pitched since the middle of last year when he went down with Tommy John surgery and the expectation was that he'd be back at some point this season and now he's gearing up for a return Schmidt is someone who the Yankees have used in pretty good leverage and has been a solid pitcher throughout his Yankees career now there's been talk about this and we are starting to see this more and more come along. Aaron Boone mentioned that Clark we feel like is probably good to go which obviously is huge especially when we look at Twitter and we do see Lombard as King mentioned I just realized that the that the moves the Yankees made for Judge were sending down Elmer Rodriguez and DFAing Chase Hampton which means Jason Dominguez is staying up for now probably until Clark Schmidt is back and that is exactly what's happening right now the Yankees have Jason Dominguez up there but Dominguez is not long for the Yankees right now that is something that we can say because I don't just mean when it comes to next season and the high likelihood that he ends up getting traded I mean in a general sense Dominguez has played three games since getting called back up and he has not shown up and shown out hitting with a .222 batting average and two hits Dominguez only has a .444 OPS and frankly he's obviously it's very very very small the sample size but he's not been playing well the fielding has not been good and though he's out in right field now he's not gonna stay there because a new Yankee has been finally playing well which is what we've been hoping to see. Elliott Ramos has shown up and has been the guy the Yankees hope for. Ramos smashes lefties it's what he does and the Yankees they're a team full of left-handed hitting so they don't have a bunch of guys who can take advantage of that left-handed pitching I mean you have Paul Goldschmidt who could still do it you have Aaron Judge will take advantage of any pitching as a righty Cody Bellinger's the best lefty hitting the best lefty batter against lefty pitching in baseball and then Elliott Ramos shows up and certainly is someone who can do this as well which does make for an interesting storyline because we see Ramos and he's played really really well over the last couple of games we're gonna make this bigger so you guys can see a little bit better because Ramos overall he's got a .238 batting average over his last 10 games with a .956 OPS and a .385 on base percentage Ramos is playing well when the Yankees are putting him into games they're putting him in fairly situationally but also more commonly with the injuries but will he stay up my guess is yes actually because with Trent Grisham out with an injury with Jason Dominguez getting sent back down they're gonna need someone else in the outfield next to Cody Bellinger and Spencer Jones and left and center field respectively while we look towards the Yankees and we see Aaron Judge will be DHing for a good span until he can get back up and back ready to go first things first we gotta wait for Judge to play every day that has not happened yet we're still yet to see Judge come back and play on an everyday level but on top of that what we also do see with Judge and with this Yankees team in general is they're getting healthy at the right time yeah Grish and Stanton there's definitely that's up in the air but everyone else is coming back Schmidt one of them certainly will get a shot at a bullpen role for the Yankees going forward he's pitched 4.2 innings in the minor leagues has six strikeouts the ERA is not there yet at all the Yankees are hoping he can continue to ramp himself up and try to find what's made him such a valuable Yankee over the last seven or so years and I do think that's something we are going to look pretty closely at over the span of time because we see him as a man who has had some good seasons with the Yankees it started in 2020 but really his first season was in 2022 when he appeared in 29 games and was effective and then in 2024 had a downright excellent season before getting injured pitching in 16 games with the 285 era and even in 2025 having a 332 era before going down with the injury as well but the expectation is that he should return between Clark Schmidt and Ryan Weather is both going out into the bullpen and already having guys out in that bullpen I mean David Bednar is one of the best closers in baseball this season after a slow start at the same time we then could take a look at other guys I mean the Brent Hedrick's obviously between Brent Hedrick between Paul Blackburn between David Bednar then bringing back Schmidt if he's able to perform if Ryan Weathers can keep going with what he was doing before he went down after having I mean that insane insane hot streak that bullpen is going to be downright disturbingly good so much so that if the Yankees needed they could always pitch a bullpen game in the playoffs if that's the route they want to go but of course when you got one of the best starting pitching units in the MLB as well it's hard to argue with if they do have the best bullpen in the MLB without a question having the best era out of their bullpen across the season thus far this bullpen does not mess around and it's perfect for this Yankees team right now man I mean look looking at the Yankees and where this team is I am absolutely thrilled with the production that we're seeing out of this squad right now this should not be this good so having the fact that you're getting hitting and pitching back that the team is only getting reinforcements in the earlier middle part of September is such a good sign going forwards and I really really do hope that we can kind of continue to see this production grow for the Yankees have things get better and better as time goes on and so once the playoffs begin the problem is we don't know who to send down because our team has just been that good and look let's be real there's a chance that Schmidt does not work out there's a chance of coming off the injury he's just not going to be ready to go they don't want to take the risk and return him too early and obviously he's a free agent at the end of this season but if they have someone who's been pitching well and has been there the entire season or a good chunk of this season I mean someone like a Fernando Cruz who's going to come back most likely even with the partially torn UCL is certainly going to be someone who the Yankees will use over Schmidt before evidently or well very likely losing Cruz to Tommy John's surgery by the time he'd get back he'd be 38 years old so the Yankees are probably going to ride that till the wheels fall off which means the Yankees are in a very interesting position right now especially when we look at Ramos who as a Yankee now his numbers have been good so you imagine he's up there which sends Dominguez back down which also kind of guarantees adjacent Dominguez trade over this offseason as well but we'll talk about the offseason once we get
