AI GeneratedThe Boston Bruins are implementing significant lineup changes for their game against the Ottawa Senators, adding Matt Poitras and Frederick Burnett. These moves reflect a shift toward a younger roster and a willingness to address early-season kinks, marking a departure from the team's recent tendency to maintain static lineups.
The Boston Bruins have made another huge set of moves after requests from fans calling for Matt Poitra and Frederick Burnett to be added to this lineup.
They have officially been put in for tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators.
We're going to be breaking down these changes, why this is something that we have not seen in a long time for the Boston Bruins,
and how this is going to affect this lineup going forward as this is very well the last chance Matt Poitra has to prove himself.
Folks, we have a lot to break down here in today's video.
Before we do get into it, if you haven't already, be sure to drop us a sub here on the channel.
Like I said, we have a lot of videos coming out here, a lot of stuff planned, and a lot of news that is coming out every single day.
And if you want to stay up to date with everything going on, be sure to drop us a sub on the channel.
We have multiple videos out here every single day. You will not want to miss it.
We need to get into this because finally, after, you know, I should say finally, a couple of games, we've been waiting for some moves to be made.
The kinks have been ironed out now when we finally get to see what some issues were in this lineup.
And Marco Sturm confirmed that those are hopefully going to be fixed, confirming that Matt Poitra and Frederick Burnett are in and swimming in that tonight.
But the biggest news story of this, Poitra and Burnett are in.
Those were two moves that everybody has been calling for after these first few games of the NHL season.
Matt Poitra started the year on the IL. He is now back and ready to go from what it seems like.
The Bruins are making moves, something that we have really not seen in quite some time.
This team really has not been willing to change up much over the past couple of seasons.
But they're starting early, and they're getting things going quick.
And we mentioned that being a big factor, knowing how good the Atlantic is this season.
You know what ruins a great outfit really fast? An old, beat-up belt that doesn't fit right.
Most guys are still wearing the belts, stretched out holes that either pinch your waist or snag and just throw off your whole look.
That's why I'm excited to have Anson Belt & Buckle as a sponsor of today's video.
Instead of holes, Anson uses the micro-adjustable track system with quarter-inch increments so your belt fits perfectly every single time.
Once you experience that kind of fit and comfort, trust me, you will never want to wear a regular belt again.
I've been wearing mine non-stop, and honestly, it's the best I've ever owned.
Once you try it, trust me, you'll never go back to old belts.
And if you're wondering why you should trust them, this company that has a proudly family-owned and operated
has earned over 40,000 five-star reviews with a lifetime guarantee.
They stand behind in every product they make, and once you get one, you will see why.
Because Anson Belt & Buckle is sponsoring today's video, when you click the link in the description or scan the QR code to build a box set,
you will get two bonus pieces, a buckle and a strap completely free.
That's three buckles and three straps which can be mixed and matched into nine unique belt combos all in one.

And thank you, Anson Belt & Buckle, for sponsoring this video.
But when we're looking at today's practice line, it's even more what we wanted to see than, you know, we could have probably imagined.
Matt Poitram, as we spoke about in yesterday's video, going on the fourth line between Jeannot and Kacic,
like, Frazier Mitton back on the third line after being put into the first in last game against the Minnesota Wilds,
we're going to touch on that here in just a little bit.
But Matt Poitram being on that fourth line between Kacic and Jeannot, I think it's a really good fit.
First of all, Matt Poitram, a little bit of a shorter guy, a little bit of a smaller guy,
but last season in the three games he played, he didn't play like him.
He played like a Tender Snow, a Mark Kasplick, and that has arguably been one of the best lines here throughout this season thus far,
and if you want to start Poitram out hot and quick, it's on that line. That's where you're going to do it.
He replaces Sean Corrales, and Frazier Burnett finally being added to the defense instead of Jonathan Aspro,
who really did not play well to start the season, whether it's the preseason or the regular season.
They've also put Will Borgen on the first line with Hanfus Lindholm, Zdorovic Clifton, and Lowry and Burnett,
and Burnett is going to be the perfect lineman for McAvoy when he does return as well.
So getting all of these together is exactly what we needed to see, what we wanted to see,
and I can't believe they've done it this quick.
They should have, I'm glad they did, but it's just not something that we have seen in a long time,
and Matt Poitram did comment on his readiness to play and his thoughts on this.
He said, I'm just excited to be playing back out there with the guys again, feel healthy, and yeah, I'm excited.
And he should be, because this is an opportunity that has been coming all last year, didn't get there,
and now that being in play is just a really good feeling for him,
knowing that he has the opportunity to prove to Don Sweeney, to Marco Sturm, that he is capable of staying in the NHL.
That's the big thing, he has to prove it, and the last time we went and really saw Matt Poitram for more than just 3 games in the NHL
was in 2024, the beginning of his NHL career, a goal in 10 assists, 45.7% faceoff win percentage,
not the best, but 11 points in 33 games for someone who's kind of up and down the line, really wherever you wanted to put him.
Not the worst, but from 24 to 25, he looked like a lot different player,
and I'm excited to see how he transitions into now a new NHL role after another very solid season in the AHL last season.
So, folks, give me your thoughts on this, because when we look ahead to the lines coming in tonight's game,
this is what I hope we do end up seeing. Frazier Minton on the first line between Paterka and Pasternak,
and Elias Lintom moved down to the third. From what we know right now, though, at least, it's going to be Elias Lintom back on that first line.
And that is something that Marco Sturm spoke about as a kind of number one center, and you see this here from Scott McLaughlin,
I asked Sturm about flipping Minton and Elias Lintom last game, and now flipping them back for tonight
basically boils down to Sturm liking the Bruins' 5-on-5 play overall through three games.
Said in separate answer, he really liked their 5-on-5 game. So, this is something that, I think, game by game,
we're going to see where it goes from here, and I do think that at the end of the day, at some point soon,
we're going to see Frazier Minton be that kind of mainstay, normal player on that first line between Paterka and Pasternak,
and even if we do go ahead and look right here at the comparison between the two, Elias Lintom getting, you know,
just under 18 minutes time on ice, he's going to have more, especially playing with Pasternak,
but if you were to put Frazier Minton in that role that Elias Lintom did last year, you would see much better than .7 of a point per game.
You're going to see him be, I would say, minimum a point a game, get him more ice time,
his faceoff percentage is going to get better, and I mean, Frazier Minton just deserves that,
and this is off last season as well, these stats are not from this season, so, you know, looking at where Frazier Minton is,
he's not far behind Elias Lintom, playing on, you know, a much different kind of skill set than Matt,
not Matt Butcher, excuse me, than David Pasternak and J.J. Paterka, so, folks, give me your thoughts on that as well,
if you want to see Frazier Minton line up at center between J.J. Paterka and David Pasternak,
but I do want to go over one thing here as well, you know, a little bit kind of touching on that moves that the Bruins have been making,
it's all been perfect, it's all exactly what we wanted to see, because, looking right now,
the Bruins are in the bottom half of age in the NHL, they're one of the younger teams,
they're 27.29 is the average age, Chicago, Anaheim, Montreal, you're not really going to be beating them,
but if you go down through the list, the Bruins are the best team, you know, I would even argue here,
I know Montreal is very good, you hate to say it, but you got to give credit where credit is due,
the Bruins are better in the range, the Blues, the Sharks, the Sabres, the Canucks, the Flames, the Flyers, the Wings,
they're finally transitioning into this younger phase that we've been seeing for a long time,
possible, but not knowing if the Bruins would actually adapt to that, they officially have, you know, this is the start of it,
and especially when you're looking at the schedule, I think you're only going to start to see this team get younger and younger and younger,
every time a move is made by bringing in these younger players, and I mean, you have now James Higgins in the lineup,
Matt Wachter is here now, Frederick Brunette is officially in the lineup, you wave Mikey Asimov, you know,
you're getting a lot younger when it comes down to these NHL death players that they've had,
starting to kind of be phased out by this team, so, it's an exciting time to be a Bruins fan and watch these games,
you know that right now is the time that they're getting into kind of this new adaptation of the Boston Bruins,
so folks, give me your thoughts on this as well down below, we have a lot of stuff coming,
be sure to stick around after the game, we're going to have a lot of stuff as well, so be sure to drop us off here on the channel,
but that is all I have at this point, if you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well, I'm signing out,
thank you for watching, hope you have a great day.
