Massive Bruins Signing IMMINENT... Multiple Bruins Updates | Boston Bruins News
Oct 20, 2026
The Boston Bruins are closing in on a major contract extension
to Murat Yuznazinov as they have also dropped multiple other
updates regarding the status of this team before tonight's game
with the pending return of Pavel Zacha and Nikita Zdorov on the horizon.
There is a lot to discuss here in this video, folks.
Before we do get into it, if you haven't already,
be sure to drop a sub here on the channel.
We have a lot of news coming, and just like this video,
there is so much that is coming out all at once.
So if you want to stay up to date with everything going on with this
Boston Bruins team, be sure to drop us a sub here on the channel.
We're going to have it here every single day.
But we got a lot to talk about.
I first want to talk about the breaking news
that we just received moments ago from Kevin Weeks.
He had a video, and of course you know the Kevin Weeks videos,
but tweeted this out as well.
Well, breaking news, per sources, I'm told the versatile forward, Murat
Yuznazinov, and the Bruins are closing in on a contract extension.
Now, this is the extent of what we've seen thus far,
but this is something that we've been waiting for for quite some time.
And now, being confirmed that it is being finalized over the next day
or two is a huge step in the right direction.
Murat Yuznazinov's role has increased significantly
over the last couple of days, and really games as well,
but over the last season, we've seen a major leap.
For someone who is still on pretty much an entry-level deal
of this type of contract, $925K for this season, he was an RFA after
the year, the Bruins wanted to make sure they could get this locked up
and done before he exceeds even more expectations than he already has.
them by looking at the contract projection according
to AFP analytics this is what they
have their projection at 2 by 2.8 now frankly I think this is a steal
and I would not be surprised
if the Bruins were trying to get a little bit more term out
of this knowing how good and how
much potential he has with the pairing
of Frazierman JJ Piperka whoever it may be and whatever they
decide to do, he has found success on whatever line he's been on,
so I would not be shocked
to see the Bruins go here and try
and force this into a bit of a longer term, a very nice
contract right, because he has experience already,
but there's still a lot left for
him to be able to get unlocked,
but the role is growing, and there's no doubt about it,
if you look at his last couple of games,
the first four he's averaged 0.2 a shot on goal,
but now he's pretty much averaged two shots over his last five,
and I think moving him onto that second line was,
I think it was destiny, you know?
He seemed like that type of player that needed to get that role.
Hadn't seen it just yet from him,
ultimately, you know, keeping on the third line,
but the Bruins had an excuse to.
Marco Sturm tried it, and it absolutely worked,
and, you know, it's something that I've wanted to see for a long time.
Love the run, who's not seen it all his entire career.
I like his game, a little small guy, but quick, speedy, skilled.
And he's coming to fruition here
with this Bruins team, with this pairing.
He's found the right linemate,
and that's really unlocked him, but also this team as well.
And even on the season, nine games played,
5.2 goals, three assists, a plus seven.
You know, 13 minutes, 35 time on ice.
That's going to be increasing as long as he stays on the second line.
But when he shoots, he's having success,
and that's the biggest thing that we're trying to see him.
And he's been part of wins. He's been a reason wins have happened.
And he's part of this new youth movement
that Bruins have really implemented throughout this season.
So something to keep an eye on over the coming days.
Once this contract is officially announced,
we will have it right here as well.
But as of right now, we know it's being finalized for next week.
So folks, give me your thoughts on this down below.
Because I'm a huge fan of any sort of extension
that's coming our way.
And I hope we do see a little bit more term
in two years on this one in specific.
But I want to go into the updates
that we've just gotten as well moments ago.
ahead of tonight's game.
And if we look at the line from Bell Frazier,
you see this.
Pavel Zacha back on the first line
between Turka and Kostronov.
You get Kuzmenkov making it on the second line.
Third line stays the same.
Fourth line stays the same.
With Sean Corrales out of the lineup.
But on the defense as well,
you see Aspero come out onto that fourth pairing.
And Zdorov jumping in to the second pairing.
And it looks like those two are going to be back
in the lineup today.
And ultimately was confirmed by Marco Sturm
that that is going to be the plan,
and I mean, for Zdorov, it was about time.
You know, I didn't really think we could see him
be out two games in a row, and a lot of
you guys didn't as well.
He is a valuable piece of this team,
and I don't think we could have really let him stay
out of this lineup for a lot of time,
but the one thing was the penalties, and you know,
you see one of you guys' comments here on this video from two days ago.
Zdorov is a must for this team, but he cannot be out of the box.
It's going to start costing us, and ultimately,
that was the decision Marco Sturm made,
He agreed with it, that's why the decision was made,
and he said this yesterday, when Zdorov was out of the lineup again
in the practice, today's lines don't mean anything for tomorrow,
we will see, we will talk about it and see through it,
and ultimately, he did come down to the decision
that he would be back in the lineup tonight,
and we go ahead and look at these lines here on tonight's lineup.
Once again, you saw it through practice.
Tiki and Paterka swapped, but everything else remains the same.
So I'm going to be curious to see where this goes.
I mean, swap Zdorov, Linton's a well-meaning defense,
and you have a nice lineup.
Getting Zaka back in, good.
You want to make sure that you're keeping
the lines similar to what they have been
because we've found success.
But Zdorov is going to be a true test for him tonight.
Staying out of the box is going to be really
the key thing for tonight's game.
I think something that we need to see from him as a whole
Because this season, you know, you're looking at him,
he's played alright, played pretty good,
solid defensively, sound defensively, but we go ahead
and look right here at the penalty minutes down in the bottom right.
29 through 8 games, really this is not what we can see.
He's a crucial guy to have on the ice, and losing him
on a potential penalty kill too, you don't want to see that at all.
He's a big guy, got a big stick,
and he truly is just a key piece of the defense here.
Now, when looking at Pavel Zacha as well,
getting him back in the lineup is going to be good.
Last six meetings, he hasn't ultimately found
the result he wanted to against Dallas,
but his importance, once again, on this team is second to none.
Whether he's on the score sheet or not, you want to see him there,
but the role he plays as a center midfielder
between Jesus Pesce, Turka, and Pospisil
Still, incredibly important, and you know,
you can't afford to have him out multiple
games as well, because look at your key guys.
Minton being a key guy here, 8 points in 9 games for him this season.
Pospisil pretty much the exact same,
12 points in 9 games, 4 goals, 8 assists.
Your key guys are rolling,
and getting your key guys back in the lineup as well is going
to be a crucial part.
Now, you see this here, Ty Anderson.
This is what, you know, Nicky Zdorov said.
He was disappointed by being benched,
and you know, especially having 12 of them.
900-plus games in the NHL.
You don't want to be in that situation, but he understands it.
And Marco Sturm said this as well yesterday during the practice,
that he knows there's another level to Nicky Zdorov,
and he's going to be back and be better when he does return.
And he's confident about it.
So he must see something ahead of tonight's game
that he trusts in Zdorov's game.
But once again, there is a leash on Zdorov.
If he's taking penalties, it's tough to keep him in the lineup
because that's going to be a crucial part.
Even though the Bruins are on right now, a nice win streak,
You want to make sure that you're extending
this to as many games as possible.
The Atlantic is tight, and it's going to be big for tonight's game.
When this game is played, but ultimately for more games as well.
And, you know, right now the Bruins are leading the Atlantic Division,
and you want to make sure you're standing
at this because Tampa's still very good.
Florida's been dealing with a few injuries.
You know, Montreal is not playing to their capability.
Buffalo's not either.
Ottawa's been good.
You know, there's a lot of things that you need to keep ahead of,
And this five-game win streak is obviously a very positive sign.
So, folks, give me your thoughts on this tonight.
Zaka returning to the lineup.
Petr Kabe being moved up to the first line.
Dorov being on this, you know,
back in the lineup, I guess we should say.
Who wins tonight?
Bruins, six straight, or the Stars and the Freaks?
Let me know down below.
That is all I have here on this one.
Folks, remember, once this Marat Kuznetsov signing is official,
we will have another video coming out.
And it may even be in less than an hour,
depending on when this gets finalized.
But that's all I got in this one. If you didn't
go ahead and give it a like, hit the sub button.
So I'm signing out. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day.
