Insider Drops SURPRISING Bruins Trade Report...
Oct 17, 2026
A very interesting trade target has emerged
for the Boston Bruins as new reports swirling
surrounding the status of Travis Konecny have linked
the Boston Bruins to the Philly
board.
We're going to be breaking down this fit for the Boston Bruins
and with all of the trade
reports going on, why this one may not be the best option.

but i want to get straight into this because over the last
couple of days we've seen philly get worse
and worse i mean that's the bottom line on that side
not going to dive too much into that but as a result you see
this here from a flyers twitter
account that Danny Briere has reportedly
been getting calls from nhl gms amid the flyers
struggles and they have a lot of very intriguing names
but one of the biggest ones that have been
reported in links is Travis Konecny
and you see this here again from elliot freeman he's weighing
in on Travis Konecny's drama and the flyers trade rumors
and Travis Konecny is taking over
the trade reports for the Flyers
and amongst many other names being headlined here in this case by
the Montreal Canadiens, the Boston Bruins have again
been linked to another four now we've seen
a lot of different reports come out surrounding
this surrounding any really four that's popped
into the trade market but with Bruins looking
at a top six the more time passes the less likely
I think the Bruins are to go out there and make a move just like that.
And I'm going to touch on what I mean by that here in just one second.
Before we do that, folks, we have a word
from the sponsor of this video, Anson Belt and Buckle.
You know what ruins a great outfit really fast?
An old beat-up belt that doesn't fit right.

but looking at the trade idea of someone like Travis Konecny
obviously he would have to waive his no trade provision
but the main link has been
the Montreal Canadiens
and as we know Travis Konecny previously was a center but now
is a winger and that makes a little bit more sense
for the Bruins in terms of a trade because
there's been one thing that has made a lot
of Bruins fans very very happy this season and it's
the fact that the Bruins seem to have some center
men locked into a very good position and obviously
going from Havsak on the first line right now
the Fraser Mitten on the second line Elias Lindholm on
the third and Matt Pastrzak on the fourth plus more players
that can play down the middle they don't
necessarily need a center man even
though i guess technically they don't have that bona fide number
one just yet but a lot of people think Fraser Mitten can
be that even this season as a top six
forward though Konecny is
a very interesting option i mean you look at him this season has
been great three points and all of which
are assists minus four on the season but we also
have to consider that well looking at the Flyers where they
are it is not great whatsoever but as
for someone like Travis Konecny his history has shown enough
for me at least that looking at a
player like him from this season
to last year I wouldn't worry about what we're seeing at starting
off and you see this from last season
in 77 games 68 points 41 assists 27 goals he's a very good
goal scorer, he's someone that can move the puck well
and he's played very well over his career
He's not the biggest guy, 5'11", 190,
but as for a fit with the Boston Bruins, there's
a lot of very interesting places that could make sense,
but you would be pushing him into
this lineup.
Another thing to note, he's not exactly the cheapest player,
but as we know now as well,
not most, not really most expensive in this case either.
The cap's gone up significantly,
and at the end of the day, an $8.75 million contract
may actually be a very good steal
for a player like Konecny in two to three years' time so
you know weighing all your options, the Bruins are certainly a fit
and i mean it's a conversation to
be had but the Flyers starting you know oh
and nine let's just call it trade talks coming you've
got to think that the Flyers are going to make
this transition into a lot of their younger players
surrounding Quarter Martone
and Konecny has been frustrated with the team, the Bruins
adding another winger would be an option
and we'll look at why this may not be the best though
because you know obviously the fit makes sense, assists
per game is pretty good, he's not the most
not the biggest guy but he's not a player
that won't throw the body around, power play points
he's gotten on the power play, we've seen him there before
but when we're looking at the current lines
i think that it's fair to say a few things, i'll pull it up
in the bigger screen here as well so
You can see the full lineup.
Looking at the offense,
Frazierman has earned his spot
and it's only going to be getting better.
Havlizak, there's uncertainty surrounding him,
which is not, I guess,
the most comfortable spot for the Bruins to be in.
But I have confidence that
if they want to re-sign him, they can.
And if they know they're not going to,
they can replace him.
But if you're looking at the wings,
Morgan Geekie, David Pashok,
Murat Husnadinov, J.D. Petarca,
Middlestadt and Higgins,
Janot and Kastelic.
I don't see a world where you're putting Travis Konecny anywhere
in the bottom 6, but I don't really see anywhere,
maybe apart from Ratnus Natinov moving him down in the lineup,
that you can put Konechny in the top 6 here.
You can't take out Kiki, you're never taking out Poshnok,
you're never taking out Paterka,
and who's not to admit, has played very well together,
and, you know, making a move like
this would, of course, entail trading someone,
but I don't see anybody, like I just said
on that list, that really would be a benefit in getting rid of,
so, although Konechny may
be a fit, there's been a lot of players
on this team that have earned a fit, earned a
place on this team that you just can't get rid of,
and you see this here from Connor
Ryan this comes from uh you know uh Marco's trip
surrounding Fraserman we're gonna lean a lot on
he's great to a player he's big part of what we're trying
to build here and he's already been a
fantastic top six player
and he's only been in here for a couple of games but with that with
the third line with the second line you really can't break up
at least right now what we're
looking at what we're seeing drive the success from this team
and we know that Konechny has
been a center before but he can't play the middle it's just
not going to work 37.7% on the draw last
season throughout the regular season and only 53 face-offs
so he has not been anywhere uh you know
close to being a possible center for this Bruins team 30
in the ozone 43.8 in the neutral zone
and 57.1 in the defensive zone although they're ready to fit
and although you may see him go to
an Atlantic team the best thing that we're going
to see for Travis Konechny for the Bruins is
having him not on this team
and you know even looking at this year power play points did get
one three assists he has not been what the Flyers want
but he's not going to be what the Bruins need
right now either so folks give me your thoughts
on this because i think the way that we've seen
this team structured so far and obviously things will change
and even with the cap we know the
Bruins have room we know that Travis Konecny's cap space
is you know fight is a fair price and
it's fine to be able to add that price nowadays
to a lineup i think that the best thing the Bruins
have going is what they already have maybe a few other changes
but Travis Konecny right now at
this point in time is not it
so give me your thoughts on this down below should they pursue
Travis Konecny yes aggressively for a b only if the price drops
or c keep the current group
i'm kind of i'm kind of in the middle of b and c
and give me your thoughts down below here on this
one but folks that is all i have here in this video
if you did enjoy give it a like hit the
sub button as well i'm signing out thank you
for watching hope you have a great day see you later
