The humanitarian operation in Oleshky in the Kherson region and the associated ceasefire allowed the Russian occupation army to reinforce its lines and positions, bring in additional weapons and ammunition, and rotate personnel. Consequently, the risk of increased mortar and artillery shelling of Kherson has increased significantly. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have also used these days of silence to strengthen their defenses. Military expert Vladislav Seleznev predicted this in an exclusive interview with Obozrevatel. This happened in the Oleshky area, although in principle, this applies not only to Oleshky but to virtually the entire left-bank part of the Kherson region, the Oleshky area, and the surrounding villages", he added. The enemy has brought in additional supplies, weapons, and ammunition, conducted personnel rotations in completely safe conditions, and established additional units. I believe the main problem the defenders of Kherson will face in the near future is the increase in mortar and artillery attacks .

It is obvious that the enemy has strengthened its positions, protected them accordingly, and in some places has put up anti-drone nets in order to be able to provide logistics in relatively safe conditions, including for artillery units of the Russian army operating on the left bank of the Dnipro.

But it's utterly absurd to believe the enemy is preparing to cross the Dnipro in this section of the front . The more than a thousand meters separating the left and right banks effectively eliminates any positive prospects for such an action.

“There were reports that the enemy was attempting to land sabotage and reconnaissance groups on Korabel Island, which is practically a microdistrict of Kherson. But I believe all such attempts will be nipped in the bud. The enemy may attempt this, but they lack the technical capacity to accumulate sufficient forces and resources to create real problems in establishing a bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnipro, including in the Korabel area. Because the Dnipro is transparent, any movement, especially of a large number of forces and resources, will be recorded, and our artillery will be working accordingly”, expert said.
