Meteorologist Jared Piepenberg on this.
Thursday. I've seen some sunshine across the North Shore.
The Twin Cities have stayed pretty cloudy here. Overnight tonight,
we'll start to see some of those clouds start to dissipate. They move
on out, but just thought I'd show you a little bit of sunshine.
We haven't seen much of that recently over the area, but yeah,
it's pretty quiet out there. Up in northern parts of Minnesota,
we do have some breaks in the cloud deck here and there.
Otherwise, the majority of us have stayed fairly cloudy.
Before we finish out the day, we may,
may see a couple breaks, but likely to not happen out there.
Although the past few days, it's been pretty quiet out there.
It's been very overcast and wet.
Now we're starting to dry out today.
Those roads aren't quite as damp out there.
Some decent rains up in northern and northeastern Minnesota,
and that extended through central Minnesota.
Even parts of the Twin Cities reporting over 2
to 2.5 inches in the southwest.
So, yeah, it was just kind of the steady periods of rain.
Now high pressure building on in,
and actually it looks like a train of these blobs
of high pressure will be passing on through,
keeping our pattern generally pretty quiet, fairly sunny.
And not a whole lot going on here.
Don't see much in terms of precipitation coming up.
Now, as this big pressure change is occurring,
low pressure moving away from us, high pressure building on in,
that pressure change creates some wind,
so it is a little bit gusty out there at times.
Not super windy, but a little breezy.
46 today, drying out early and then cool.
Clouds will likely linger, although you can see up
in northern Minnesota already seeing that sunshine.
It's just going to be a cool day with that breeze overnight tonight,
20s up north, 30s down toward the south tomorrow.
Similar high temperatures,
but not much wind as we get some sunshine out there for tomorrow.
Actually, I'm thinking that tomorrow
is going to be a very seasonable day.
It'll be decent out there.
Maybe not all that warm, but mid-40s,
sunshine, and just very light winds
would make for a comfortable, decent early November day.
Temperatures do get a little bit warmer over the weekend,
but I do want to highlight the next couple
of mornings will be a little bit chilly,
especially on northern Minnesota for tomorrow, for Friday morning,
and then most of us, Friday night, dipping down close to freezing.
We haven't had that freezing temperature yet in the Twin Cities.
We'll see if we get there.
But for Minnesota's deer opener, it does look dry.
It looks pretty bright out there as well.
Cooler on Saturday morning
and a little milder on Sunday morning for us.
And then next week, dry weather is expected for us
with temperatures getting well above average again.
We're talking some days there 10 to 15 plus degrees above average later
in the weekend and into next week.
