And Ryan is with us now to talk weather.
Yes, and some wet weather on the way.
Wet weather, absolutely.
Friday, some showers, but that is going to turn to periods of rain,
which will continue Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night into Sunday.
Why do we have a storm drain here?
Well, those storm drains are going to be busy this weekend,
and my storm drain in front
of my house doesn't look anything like this.
In fact, it is covered with leaves.
And so a good idea this weekend to make sure
those storm drains are cleared away.
We've got subtropical moisture coming from the Gulf of Mexico,
and that is streaming all the way up the eastern seaboard.
And yes, it is going to be working its way.
Into our region throughout Friday, Saturday, and yes, Saturday night
and in through Sunday before it finally starts to taper off.
We've got a lot of rain between now and then.
It looks like kind of a widespread amounts of 30 to 60 millimeters.
I think we're going to be seeing some pockets that do push
into the 60 to 80 millimeter range, possibly even some pockets
that push up towards 100 millimeters locally thanks to some downpours.
Some thunderstorms and some heavier pockets
with that subtropical moisture that are going to be tracking in.
Friday, it is indeed just going
to be seeing some showers throughout much of the day.
But late Friday into Friday evening,
that's when things really start to ramp up.
Saturday, it looks like, again, more periods of rain,
especially towards Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.
That's when the center of this system comes in.
We really get that feed of moisture coming in.
Tapering off to some showers Sunday, but we'll still need the umbrella.
