How Did My Dog Get THIS Dirty?

Well good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience. What did you do? Can you guys even see? Like show me this face. Dirt, dirt, look at it. Dad says you tried to bury your apple and he got some footage of it. So we'll insert that here. Good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience. Technically this is me. From the future, once again, most of you guys already know that we lost Kira on October 26th, and these vlogs are still from when, you know, before. As you can see here, she... I decided that this morning she was going to bury her frozen apple. Now, every morning Kira would get up and I would feed them, let them outside. They would come back inside. And then usually I would have to come down and do some work in my office. And Kira would go back and beg Jamie to let her back outside. And what she really wanted was her frozen apple. So he would usually put her out. Most of the time it was by herself. And then... She would get her apple, she would eat her apple, and then she would just lay outside and be happy as could be. That was what she wanted. Sometimes Eleanor would go out with her, sometimes Eleanor would not go out with her. But this was one of those mornings when she was out there by herself. She took the frozen apple and decided she was going to bury it. And I am so glad that Jamie filmed this, because honestly, this was one of her last normal... Days, normal moments. I mean, she was still experiencing the back pain and things like that. But I am so thankful that he filmed this and just watching her be herself because this is who she was. These were the things Kira did, you know, and I know we have shared so much with you guys over the years, but there's still things that like we never filmed. Some of the stuff was just for us. You know, we don't film every day, so you don't always see everything. You only see short blips of our life, but. This was really cute and I'm really glad that Jamie got this footage of Kira with her apple so we're gonna roll into the rest of this video and uh yeah I think there's only one more vlog with Kira and then it's transitioning to life with only one dog. So I love you guys, thank you for being here and I hope you enjoy this beautiful video today. What on earth Kira? You just having a good time? I cannot believe the amount of dirt on your paws. Like you normally, what's this on your paw? Oh, a pine needle. Dirty, you're so dirty. You probably had a good time though, didn't you? She's like, yeah, I had the greatest time in the world. What's wrong with you ma? You're so dirty, it's ridiculous. Yeah, yeah, you keep making that face. That's ridiculous. Oh my goodness. All right, Jamie went out to work on the house for a little bit. It's time for the girls to go back outside. Apparently, I have to check to see the hole you dug. It is beautiful today! I guess, we're getting a couple more days of really nice weather. You can see a lot of the leaves have fallen. It is... That tree is almost completely empty. It is beautiful today! We're gonna go look for the hole that Miss Kira put her... I see it! That she put her apple and got all dirty. This is where they normally dig and like you can tell this dirt here is more like dirt and sand. This is more like straight gray sand over here. That's where she dug, which you guys probably saw because Jamie was filming. Did you bury your apple? Yeah, you buried it, huh? We got you pretty clean. We did. We got you pretty clean. We used our wipes and the towels and all that stuff. You got pretty clean. Oh, we got more sticks falling out of the tree. Man, this tree had a very rough year. If you guys remember, this is supposed to be a big leaf maple. And I have a picture from last year of one of the leaves from this tree that was bigger than my head. See if I can find any. And I had just found it on the ground and took it inside to show Jamie. But yeah, this is kind of crazy. They're considerably, look, they're like the size of my hand and I have small hands. They've got some issues. We don't know if it was from the ice storm or what. Jamie did trim up the tree this year because we wanted to try to get it healthy again. But it's pretty sad. And it's the whole tree. I'm like, I don't even think we're going to get the cool colors we normally get. So our leaf video might, if we get to make one. Might not even be that great. Oh, there's a little red leaf that came from the neighbor's tree. The red leaves are my favorite. Look at it. Are you digging? We just had a discussion about the... At least you're digging there and not in the other spot. It is breezy today. They said we're supposed to get some waves on the lake. So it could be a little crazy. Kira, what are you doing? But yeah, so I don't know what's going on with our tree. Well, we're thinking it was the ice storm. We had the two ice storms, but the ice storm we got two years ago wasn't as bad as the one we got this year, which I can put some playlists to our ice storm footage up in the cards and down in the video description below. For those of you that may be new and have no idea what I'm talking about, we get crazy ice storms. We got them two years in a row. Can we go for three? I guess we'll find out come spring. All right, we got a box inside that I've been kind of waiting to open. I think we're gonna go inside and open some mail. Yeah, I know keep going. You got this. Alright, we got a box from my amazing friend Terry. And there's a whole bunch of stuff in this, so I'm kind of excited. Ah, don't break it! I don't... It says fragile, so I don't know what's fragile and what's not. Jamie's out working on the house, but I couldn't wait to open this. So, we are opening it. Oh, it's a Halloween cow! Oh, please don't break any of this stuff, girl. There's a Halloween cow. Look, I think there's a Halloween horse. So backstory, I knew you were going to love it. My friend Terry and I have been friends for, oh my gosh, Terry, how long? Since like 2002, 2003? A bajillion years and we both love carving pumpkins. That's actually how we've met, as crazy as this is. We've never met in person. Well, not yet. Hopefully soon. Hopefully someday. I'm gonna go through this, open it up and see what she sent. Also, there'll be a PO box on the screen and down in the video description below. I am trying to put more of the mail in the vlogs. So if you want to send something, it might show up. I can't guarantee it, but it might show up in a vlog. Okay, this is great. See this wind chime? I gotta show you something. See this wind chime? Terry sent me this wind chime as well. I still have it, it hangs right here by the door. We hear it all the time. I might have to put the new one here too. I don't have these yet. These are super cool. Oh this is so pretty and it smells amazing. It's survived! Oh my gosh, Jamie's going to love this when he gets home. I have to show him, it's like made out of glass. This is cute. No you can't chew on it ma'am. Okay this box is fancy. Let's see. Yeah, I know, this box is fancy. Terry, Jonathan, Kimber, you guys are amazing. Let me open this. I open up the box and it's wrapped and there's a card. In honor of Miss Memphis, love and light. I love you Terry. I don't even need to open it, I just love you. All right, I'm gonna open it. Terry, it's perfect. Oh, it's so perfect. I love it. You did amazing. I know you beat yourself up on these sometimes, but you did amazing. So Terry is on Etsy at Termine Creations, but she's been going through some things and might not be doing too much Etsy anymore, but you should definitely go check out her stuff if there's anything still left there. I've gotten a few things from her. I asked her when she said she might be getting out of it if she had any green butterflies left, and she did. So I told her to do whatever she wanted with it and that I wanted it in memory of Memphis. This is beautiful. Thank you so much. In case you don't know, that's also from my friend Terry. This one's from our anniversary, which if you didn't know was September 14th. And this was the card that Miles sent. Also got a letter from Emmett. A sympathy card from Shannon. And yes, I read the letter. It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm not reading it on camera. And I do want to say, Shannon, yes, sending the letters, making donations in honor of the dogs, All of those things is... Making you a huge part of the Pawdience, even if you can't come and see us at the Expos. We totally understand. Thank you for the absolutely beautiful letter. And this is also a good time for me to say, we have read every single thing that you guys sent to us. I haven't put every single thing in videos and i'm sorry for that but it's not been easy. i'm doing my best because that's all i can do. and of course with that being said once again thank you guys so so so much for everything you send, all the amazing comments you leave on our videos, for sharing our videos, for being a member of the pawdience. without you guys we couldn't keep doing this. you know your comments, we read all of them, your comments help the videos, the likes, the shares, all that help us to be able to keep Keep doing what we do. You don't have to pull. I appreciate it. Eleanor's pulling a little bit today. I know, we're just excited we just got out here. All right, let's see. Will it freak her out? There's our spider friend. It's like the first time she sees it each year, she kind of freaks out, which actually I got a short video of her seeing it the other day when we walked them, which we can insert here. She's distracted by squirrels. How long until she sees Spider-Friend? And will she react the same this year as she normally does? Oh, oh, she sees him. Is that the spider? Was he, but he's not so scary. You're not gonna bark at him? Spider friend. Yep, she's not afraid of him this year. Good job, Elle. Maybe a little afraid. Not super, not super scared. I'm scared. But yeah, it seems like the first day it scares her and then after that, she's good. No more scared of the spider. I know. I love that my neighbor also goes all out for Halloween. They have a full pirate ship. It has a sail too, but I think it's been a little bit windy to put the sail up. But yeah, they do a whole display at their house as well. With stuff not with pumpkins, but I love it. I love that they do it every year. It's pretty neat. Oh it's not so windy going this way. This is nice. We didn't see a single bunny and we're already back. We're already back. Not a single bunny. I got talking to the neighbor. No bunnies. One squirrel, no bunnies. That's okay. Still light out. We made it home before dark. That was my goal. Kira what am I gonna do with you? So After we went for that walk, as I was on my way back, we cut it a little bit short for two reasons. One, it was a little warm out. Two, I noticed Kira was walking a little bit strange again. So yeah, I know, I don't know what's going on. I have a call in to the vet. I sent them a video. I'm actually waiting on them to call me back. I also sent it to a couple of other people, including Miss Paula, to kind of get an idea of what they think the weird walking is. And actually, you know what? We can go ahead and insert a picture or a picture, a video right here. So if you notice, it's her left side. She seems to be favoring that left leg. Now... When she's standing, I can pick up her right leg and she will put weight on her left leg, but she doesn't really want to. Thank you. Everybody seems to think it's a muscle pull, because remember, we went in, we had her back checked, everything was healing really well. Actually, I have to take her in tomorrow for laser therapy, so they'll probably look at it tomorrow as well. She's getting up and off the couch without any issue again, which is weird. She's going up and down the basement steps when we go down there for game night, which is weird. But something is still not right in that back end. A couple of the things I looked up said she could have pulled a muscle because she was favoring her back. She's not wincing. She's not crying. She still really wants to play with her toys at night. She really wants to do all of her things. So we're not freaking out just yet but as much as I was excited and told you guys that I thought that her back was all healed and everything was good, it looks like we might still have a little bit of residual issue which we're hoping is just a residual issue from what was going on before. Could you not Kira? Like I just, you know, we've been through a lot in the past two years and I just want you to be healthy and not have any issues and not scare everybody including the Including the Pawdience and your dad and I. So basically, I didn't vlog anything yesterday. Jamie and I tried to figure out if she really had an issue or not. Then, him and I took her for a W-A-L-K, so she could walk by herself, so I could really look at her and he said the same thing. We've checked her toes, we've checked her feet, we've checked all the things. She lets us touch everywhere up and down her leg and does not mind. So, this one might be a little bit harder to figure out and again, we're hoping it's just a muscle strain. It doesn't look like a joint issue when she walks, but again, it's kind of hard to tell. So, are you laying in the... Hi! Did you try to lick the camera? Laying in the fluffy rainbow bed? No, I... I didn't... You can't play with her. Yeah, tell her. You can't play with me. You can't. And you cannot eat the... You can't eat the camera. Cannot eat... You can't eat the pawdience. They're not edible. I know, you want to play with her so bad. You do, I know. She did try to play with you earlier, which scared me, but I didn't want to stop her because if she felt good enough to play, I figured I should let her play. She doesn't have any swelling. We've checked everything. It's just weird, kind of like that. Are you weird? What are you doing? Okay, I guess if that's where you want to be, that's where you want to be. But anyway, so that I don't forget, we're going to go ahead and end this video. And yeah, we hope you guys enjoyed today's video and take care of some well wishes.
