AI GeneratedWestern Connecticut will experience a mix of cloudy skies and spotty showers on Thursday, with more significant rain and potential thunderstorms arriving Friday morning. While the weather will be gloomy and damp in the short term, a front moving through Friday afternoon will bring cooler temperatures and clearer skies, leading into a drier weekend.
And as we continue to track what's happening
in our weather across Western Connecticut,
we do have opportunities for some
spotty showers early in the afternoon,
but much of the evening is going to stay pretty quiet.
Across the board, still a bit gloomy,
still a bit cloudy and may have a couple of spotty showers,
especially near Warren and Cornwall.
But most of Fairfield County is going
to stay pretty dry for the rest of our Thursday.
But there is some opportunities for some showers
to develop later into the evening,
early for tonight.
But a lot of the chances for us to see storms is going to come.
Check this out around eight and nine o'clock.
That's where we're going to see that
system really pushing in a bit more,
not only widespread rain,
but potentially even some thunderstorms
during our Friday morning commute.
This moves out of here rather quickly as that system starts.
Starts to exit some lingering showers are going to be possible,
but that front is going to come
in right behind it around three, four o'clock.
And that's what we'll start to see clearing skies
on top of the cooler weather leading into the weekend.
So we do have improvements along the way,
and this is some much needed rain, nothing that's going
to be overly disruptive in terms of impacts, but still going
to be a change from what we've had over the last about 18 days.
It stays cloudy with temperatures near 70 degrees across Fairfield
County from Western Norwalk and especially in Greenwich,
which is expected to be around the warmest spots with 72 degrees.
Tonight's areas of fog, showers
and storms overnight into early Friday morning.
But the good news is once we get to the weekend,
we're expecting much drier conditions.
