That's right. The new Chick-fil-A here
in White Plains is set to officially open today,
specifically here on Tarrytown Road,
and the team here is already gearing up for a
large turnout. There actually isn't
a line lining up right behind me just yet,
like there has been in the past with some other
Chick-fil-A's that have opened, but I'm sure
that's going to change within the next hour or so.
Take a look behind me and you can see
What the area looks like around here,
if you know this area here on Tarrytown Road,
this spot is set to officially open at 6.30 a.m.
It'll be the third full-size location in Westchester,
with the first two in Yonkers and Scarsdale, both on Central Avenue.
There's also a spot at the Ardsley Thruway rest stop.
Now, this specific Chick-fil-A in White Plains is owned and operated
by a former public relations professional with the New York Yankees.
So to celebrate today's opening, the team is inviting the community
to show their spots at a move-in party.
Offering a free entree or kids meal to anyone
who comes wearing cow spots today.
That could mean a full cow suit or simply some cow spotted accessories.
The offer will be available both inside
of the restaurant and at the drive-thru.
Now, as exciting as this opening may be for some people,
it could cause some traffic troubles.
Tarrytown Road gets very, very busy here around this time,
so if you do drive through this area
or if you want to check out Chick-fil-A today,
just give yourself some extra time before you head out the door.
We're in White Plains, Westchester County, Katarina Villales, News 12.
