Fatal double shooting in Gwinnett County Wednesday night

Two people are dead after a shooting in Gwinnett County, in a Gwinnett County neighborhood. Police say that the double homicide may be drug-related, and one person is now in custody. Good day. Kim Loeffler joins us. She's live in Gwinnett County this morning at the police headquarters with the very latest. Kim, good morning. Very late. Good morning. Well, police say this appears to be an isolated incident, but the shooting and the the closure of the area there did leave prevent some people from getting back into their homes last night for some time. Now Gwinnett County police say officers responded to Heather Stone way around 830 Wednesday night after reports of a person shot when they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe everyone involved knew each other and say. Drugs may have played a role. Police say one person is in custody and is cooperating with police. The investigation, as I mentioned, also left neighbors unable to get into their home. Take a listen to one neighbor we spoke to. I cannot get in. I'm stuck on the street in the middle of the night. It's midnight and I'm stuck, unable to enter my home. So I've never seen anything like this. I would have never thought there would be any kind of shooting, any kind of drug activity, let alone two deaths on the same night. Now, the identities and ages of the two victims have not yet been released. Police also have not announced any charges at this time.
