Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee sports violet wig for Valkyries championship

Barbara, I must say, Violet looks incredible on you. What does it mean for this city, for this community, to celebrate this championship and the impact it has? It means that we're in the midst of greatness. Greatness. This championship has brought us phenomenal women who showed us that at first it was five years. What? And they did it in two years. These are great. Women and I'm excited because here we are together. They brought us together and they won. And so we're so proud of our champs, our champions, our bold, phenomenal women who have brought this to the Golden State. And so thank you all. We're deeply grateful and I'm excited. Oakland, thank you. And what does this championship run mean specifically for the energy of Oakland? For the energy of all the, first of all, everyone's heart and soul here in Oakland has been with our team. But secondly, here we have the MVP. Where's Gabby? Gabby? You know, she lives, she loves us, she brings her value, she's rooted. That's what, thank you. That's going to be great. We're going to hear from Gabby.
