CBC News has learned that the former Alberta
hockey executive accused of child luring was
already facing a number of charges before his most recent arrest.
On Monday, RCMP announced
the new charges against 39-year-old Tyler King.
The three alleged victims related to those new
charges were all minor hockey players at the time.
Before his arrest in Ontario, Tyler King was wanted

in Didsbury but earlier this year King stopped showing up at court.
Court records show those
domestic violence charges included assault with a weapon,
assault by choking and uttering threats.
He will have to face those charges once he's returned to Alberta.
King was arrested on new
charges in Ontario on Friday.
They include luring and sexual exploitation. The alleged
offenses took place when King
was with the Okotoks Oilers organization between 2021 and 2024.
He left the club in June 2024.
That same month, someone from the organization reported
the allegations to police.
Now, RCMP accused King of compensating underage players
for intimate images and sexual videos.
Police have not said what teams the complainants from Alberta
and Saskatchewan played for.
At the time of his arrest, King was teaching
at a New York State College in the Communication Studies Department.
