Yeah, so polls are open around the country,
of course, and yeah, because it's not just
what's happening here in our area.
It's all over the place.
Democrats hoping to ride a predicted blue wave
as Republicans hope to salvage control
of Congress.
Let's get out to Doug Luzader, joins us from Washington.
Doug, it's the day we've been talking about for,
well, months now, if not years.
And you know it's a special day when they have him outside.
Oh.
That's right. Here we are on Election Day now.
Yeah, big day. We expect pretty big turnouts.
We've already heard closing arguments in a number of states that will
determine which party controls the reins here on Capitol Hill.
The rapper Common almost blowing out the sound system
at an 11th hour rally for Senate candidate
Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan,
a critical contest with Republican Mike Rogers laying out what he
sees as the stakes. Are you guys ready to fight for freedom tomorrow?
And that is playing out in state after state.
Early polling shows a great deal of enthusiasm,
and we're hearing some anger on both sides.
I was a Democrat years ago. I'm embarrassed to
be one today. But I cannot bring myself to vote
for a Trump minion under any circumstances.
This is the pipe inside here.
President Trump, meantime, talking about renovations at the newly
reopened reflecting pool in Washington,
hoping there aren't waves here or elsewhere today.
When you vote, remember, a party that hates America cannot
Be allowed to rule over the people who built our country.
And he has crisscrossed the country over the past month.
The White House says 30 events in 32 days.
And while state and local races also play into turnout,
Senate races are a big driver.
I would really be watching Maine, Michigan, and Alaska.
That's going to determine the Senate.
Veterans of these contests will look for early signs today
to see what kind of message voters are sending.
Well, we do expect high turnout today.
You've got more than 50 million Americans
that have already cast their ballots, Jason and Alex.
Yep, they'll start counting those this morning.
I'm just on Kalshi looking at the spreads here, Doug, to see, you know,
and Kalshi and some of these other prediction markets have
the Dems just dominating in the Senate today.
Yeah, I mean, as a rule, we don't talk about specific poll results
or betting markets on election day.
But yeah, I mean, you know, there are certainly folks
that are trying to make some money off this.
You know, pollsters are going to, you know,
either earn their money today or have some explaining to do tomorrow.
Yeah, and they have had to explain before.
And yeah, we'll see. A lot of people don't believe them.
All right, Doug, thank you very much.
Thank you.
He looks very official when they have him outside.
Yeah, so that's only on special occasions he's outside?
Yeah, it's rare that we see him out there actually,
you know, getting some sun.
Mm-hmm.
