Polling centers across the state open their doors at 7 a.m. in the governor's race. Incumbent Governor Maura Healey looking to secure a second term. She's facing Republican Mike Minogue. Boston 25 tracking several key races happening all across the state. And today, the head of state elections, William Galvin, saying this year's record nine ballot questions show a desire for change. More than 1.1 million people have already voted in the state. Dave Galvin recommending if you are voting in person tomorrow, bring an explainer. Of the questions with you on the ballot itself right before yes and no on the questions is a one sentence statement that summarizes the effect of a yes or no. And if you're still in doubt, that's the thing to go to. But it's also helpful if you had a list. That way you can make your choices and move along on the process. Galvin says you should expect your ballot to be two, three, even four pages long. That could mean longer lines and wait times there at the polls. And if you're voting by mail, state election leaders urging you to put your ballot in a secure ballot drop box at this point. That way your ballot is guaranteed to arrive on time to be counted. You have until 8 p.m. tomorrow night to drop it off. If you do decide to still mail your ballot, it must be postmarked by tomorrow and arrive by November 6th.
