Good evening, everybody.
We are tracking some flooding across the region.
So here is the latest on that. Just nine o'clock right now.
And we now have a flash flood warning.
And this is a considerable flash flooding warning
for areas across Seminole County.
So what we can see right now in areas, especially
in southern Seminole County, so Altamonte Springs, Wekiva Springs area,
we're seeing a lot of rain in a short amount of time, but even more
rain setting up just to the south, like Fairview, Lockhart over
Towards Apopka, these areas have already gotten upwards of five inches
of rain through today with a lot of rain just continuing to really hold
these heavy showers moving over the same regions over and over again.
The reason why areas across southern Seminole County, though,
are in this considerable flash flood warning is because we saw
the little Wekiva River rise in levels very quickly.
So if it's not already causing flash flooding, it will very soon.
So even though these numbers aren't
Going to be as considerably high like what
we're seeing just down to the south with that
darker orange color.
Still seeing significant flooding due
to those rivers rising very quickly.
So that is why we are keeping an eye
on this considerable flash flood warning out there right now.
This is in effect until 1030,
and we still see a lot of heavy rain in the area.
So we're going to be continuing to monitor that.
But it's not only Seminole County that we're watching.
Flood watches are in effect pretty much all through central Florida.
Brevard, Osceola.
Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Lake County, you are under
a flood watch through Monday morning because of this intense rain.
Flooding is possible all across central Florida.
So we're just going to keep a very close eye on things
as we head through the rest of the overnight tonight.
And Monday, as we're expecting more rain, here's Lake Mary right now.
You can just see that rain hammering in,
and we're still going to be seeing some heavy downpours through
the rest of the overnight tonight, continuing to see some
of those heavier swaths rolling through Seminole County
and lots of just widespread light rain is going to continue to roll
on shore as we head through the rest of the overnight tonight.
There will be a little bit of a break starting tomorrow morning,
but still very showery conditions as you're heading out
the door tomorrow, but much more widespread.
Rain continuing to push through central Florida through
the rest of the overnight tonight.
Some areas, especially where we're seeing
that considerable flash flood warning right now,
clocking in about three inches of rain.
But some areas, especially in central Osceola County,
have already seen upwards of five inches of rain.
And in south Florida, totals have even risen more
with some areas already seeing up to seven inches of rain.
Heading out the door tomorrow, you will need that rain jacket.
So make sure you grab that before you head out the door.
Much more widespread rain.
Rain once again happening tomorrow afternoon.
Very similar to what we saw today,
which means another risk of flooding
is on tap for tomorrow.
So through the rest of the overnight tonight,
seeing those widespread showers.
Tomorrow morning, showers will slowly start
to come down more intensity-wise,
but still showery conditions on tap through tomorrow.
Then we'll slowly start to get more of a break
as these scattered showers become much more spotty,
taking a look at the start of your Tuesday.
But even with this, a considerable amount
of rain is still expected even as those showers start
to taper off Monday afternoon.
Some areas could be seeing over six to eight and maybe even some areas
seeing 10 inches of rain by the time this rain starts to taper off.
So if you do see any flooding, absolutely let us know.
