Jen Delgado back now for a chance, a check on your forecast
if you're hoping to still get out later and trick-or-treat.
Sydney, what do you see me?
No, my, sorry, my vision is, is this a very tiny monitor?
I have a hat!
Yes, I'm like a like a zombie bride corpse bride.
Oh, thank you. Now I got to pick up here on
Do you see it now box and it's very small hat.
Yes, and I need a new eyeglass prescription. You look great
Thank you. Do you like it? I got I got one for you, too
So I can't wait so we both can wear them
and look like like corpse brides or keep it on girl
You look good. You think I should yeah,
I'll probably get in trouble. Let me take it off
Oh,
All right, let's talk about the forecast
for the trick-or-treaters for tonight.
Of course we know we want perfect weather for them,
and really, they do have it.
my
We have a few clouds around, but we're going
to be dry as we go throughout the evening.
Our temperature is 7 o'clock, 58 degrees,
and then by 8 o'clock, 56 degrees.
We keep it dry, but it is a little bit cool.
God.
But for tomorrow morning, those overnight lows will be in the 40s.
Now, the good news is, by the time you get home,
trick-or-treaters, you'll be fine.
You go home, look at your candy, make sure it's safe with mom and dad.
And you go to bed, and then you get an extra hour of sleep
because we are falling back tonight.
This is our view right now out at the National Harbor.
You can see the clouds are very thick and heavy.
And that is what we're getting right now
because we have that northeasterly flow in place.
But as we check the conditions outside, we are dry at the airport.
This is out at Reagan.
Our temperature is 60 degrees.
Our winds are from the northwest at 7 miles per hour.
But tonight was the last 6 p.m. sunset.
And unfortunately, because of all the clouds,
we were robbed of the sunset.
So at least we had a nice one yesterday.
So we look at the numbers.
Today we got to 64 degrees and we didn't get any rainfall
and we don't have any rain in
the forecast over the next couple of days.
We're going to keep it dry.
Temperatures outside of D.C. are in the 50s like Frederick
and Gaithersburg and Leonardtown
right now checking in with 56.
But our temperatures dropped a lot since yesterday.
We climbed to 77 degrees for the afternoon high,
which is well above the average, which
is 66.
But now we're 10 to almost 50.
15 degrees cooler in some spots
because of the frontal system that came through yesterday.
So we look at our satellite radar.
You got the clouds.
There they are rolling in.
And as we go through the overnight, they will hang tight.
And the same for tomorrow.
Now, a good chunk of the country right now dealing
with clouds, but overall, a very quiet
weather pattern.
Some showers right now across areas,
including parts of Kansas, as well as into Oklahoma.
But other than that, very light in nature
and good weather for trick-or-treaters even
down towards the south.
We're looking at you, Mississippi, as well as into Alabama.
Now, for tomorrow, it will be a dry day.
Clouds, as I say, to start off the afternoon.
And then by the late afternoon, we're going to start
to see clouds clearing out and giving way to sunshine.
Then we jump ahead to Tuesday, November 3rd, the big election.
The weather is not going to keep you from going to the polls.
The only area that we're looking at rainfall
on Tuesday is really across parts of the Midwest.
Our next year into rainfall doesn't come really
into late Wednesday, into Thursday.
This is November the 5th.
And then that will hang out as we go
into your Friday as well as Saturday.
And maybe even into Sunday, we could be looking at some shower chances.
But you know what?
It's been so dusty outside with the dry conditions.
I don't think anybody's going to complain about
a little bit of wet weather to return.
So we look at the lows for tonight.
There it is, 47 in D.C., 51 in Quantico, 46 in Fredericksburg.
And then tomorrow afternoon, this is your temperature climbing
to 65 from Rockville down towards Dale City.
Pretty much the same for our southeastern zones.
We're looking at Leonardtown, a high of 64, Colonial Beach, 65.
And if you were thinking about heading out to the mountains,
high temperatures also will be in the mid to upper 60s.
With clouds to start, more sunshine as you go throughout the day.
And I kind of think, actually,
clouds are better when you're checking out the fall foliage.
As we look for the update, we know right now,
anywhere you're seeing an orange, that is the moderate color change.
I think we're seeing some really good displays,
especially out in Frederick County,
as well as into Loudoun County, east of Interstate 95.
It won't really happen until we get
into about the second week of November.
But now is a good time to go out and...
Be the leaf peeper that you want to be for fall.
Here's your seven-day forecast for your Sunday, 65.
Clouds to start and sunshine, partly sunny on Monday.
On Tuesday, mostly sunny, heading to the polls.
Clouds build, rain coming very late,
and then chances of rain for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
But look how those temperatures are going to be warming up, Sid.
We're going to warm it right back about 10 degrees above average.
We'll send it back over to you.
All right, sounds good, Jen. Thank you.
