We want you to come on over here for let's talk.
So you got to walk over there.
So you guys can see the whole, no,
keep the skirt on, keep the skirt on.
That's what it is.
I've never walked in one of these before.
So you guys can see the whole outfit.
Listen, I thought I was sticking out like
a sore thumb without my red on.
But now this is the score.
All right, y'all.
This is so good.
We got the Christmas clown.
So much better than a pumpkin competition.
So I'm not going to lie, you know those days
when you had a school project and you'd be
asking your mom super last minute to help you put it together?
That was some cotton balls.
Oh, my God.
That was me this morning with the cotton balls.
The hot glue gun, my girlfriend was helping me put it together, too.
Shout out to you, Alicia.
I know you're watching, girl.
Oh, girl.
It was super fun, though.
She's a real one.
Yeah.
I mean, we came together pretty nicely.
Did you change your earrings, too, to match the outfit?
Come on, now.
You see the bling?
Oh, my gosh.
It's given Aladdin.
I love it.
Brother nature.
I just need a little lamp, you know?
Yeah, yes.
I got one for you, don't worry.
Alright, the time now
is 10:06 and Marquise, as you
guys know, is joining us for Let's Talk
this morning and the topic is all
about Halloween. And unfortunately
we are barely one of the
best cities to celebrate the spooky
season. That's according to research
from WalletHub. Atlanta ranks
48th on the list of 100.
But as we know, there are plenty
of fun things to do around Metro
Atlanta and North Georgia for Halloween.
So what would be
The perfect Halloween plans for you guys.
Yes.
Ooh.
It has changed for me over time.
I mean, understandably, when I had kids, we always had that debate of,
are we going to stay home and give out candy?
But there's this party going on and we like to go to this party.
But if we do that, then there's nobody at home to give out candy
to all the trick-or-treaters that would come by.
We tried the compromise one year where we put out one big bowl of candy
and left it on the front porch so we
could go to the party we wanted to go to.
Do you think anything would like,
I'm sure the first kid just dumped the whole bowl into their bag.
You know, there was a phase where we would prioritize
the Halloween parties. Usually I'm working the next morning,
so I don't do that so much anymore. I would say if I was...
Planning my perfect Halloween right now.
Our neighborhood goes all out.
It's one of these neighborhoods where everybody
just camps out at the end of the driveway.
They'll bring out like a fire pit, cocktails, the whole smash.
Oh, yeah.
We take care of the children and the adults.
I'm a writer.
And so my perfect Halloween now would be to have the perfect weather
for that so that we can just camp out in the driveway for the evening
and enjoy the festivities with everybody.
Nice.
And still get to bed early.
What about you?
I know you're super into spooky things.
I get to go second.
My perfect Halloween would be
to do a haunted house, which I did
already this year, but if I was doing it everything
in one day, I would start off at a
pumpkin patch. Then in the
evening, I'd go to a Halloween bar.
Now that I'm older and mature, we've got
to do mature things. Then I would
spend the evening just doing a
scary movie with some popcorn.
That would be my cherry on top.
That sounds pretty good.
You got any ideas? I think for me,
Halloween, when you're in college, I know I'm well
We're past that now, but it used
to stretch like seven consecutive days, so you'd be going
to different parties, different events,
and by day three, you'd probably run out of outfits
is what it came down to, so I think nowadays, maybe just one...
Massive party, all right, and that way I don't have
to buy different outfits.
I could probably so is this your party outfit?
I'll do it, I'll try it.
Honestly, no, I just put this together this morning obviously, but
But you're working on something else.
I got something else.
I got something else.
Just one.
This is just a TV one.
I have so many like outfits from past years.
There's hanging around my closet right now
So I got to figure out what I want to wear
and hopefully you guys see me in it on Saturday
Okay.
Alex.
quickly, yeah, I
I really think that tomorrow is going to be my perfect Halloween.
I'm thinking I might swap my pumpkin patch plans
because of Joanne's and Marquise's forecast.
But that's great.
You know, I love just fall activities in that regard.
And then going to do some little social things.
I do have a costume.
I am wearing one right now.
If you guys can guess,
I will post later so you can figure out what that is.
But, yeah, I feel like tomorrow is going to be my perfect Halloween.
It's just fall activities.
And then doing some spooky things.
And I did also hit up a haunted house
this year, which is so not like me.
And I didn't hate it.
And she did amazing, too.
I was expecting more screams from you, to be honest.
Yes, you did.
I did not hear one scream.
Yeah, the mean mud gross people right back.
We'll be right back.
But also, like, Halloween's on a Saturday this year.
We've got daylight savings coming to an end.
We've got that extra hour.
So I feel like now is the time to live it up.
This is the one.
All right, on that note, the time now is 10:10.
And coming up on Good Day Atlanta,
one of the biggest events on the show.
