Today could be the day the Brewers
and Tampa Bay Rays are gearing up for game five of the World Series
and the stakes are getting bigger by the inning.
Milwaukee is ready for another big night of baseball
and our Nicola Junewitz is at American Family Field with a look
at all the excitement ahead of the first pitch. Hey, Nicola,
it looks like there's like a little bit of a line out there.
Yes. Hey, Jenna, good morning to you.
Yes, it's actually a tale of two lines this morning at
American Family Field. Now, yesterday,
the big story of the morning was the team store. Take
a live look here. You can see that things are moving there.
The team store opened just a minute
ago, and it did start to move.
They're open until 2 o'clock today, unless you get a ticket for the
watch party, which is, of course, at 5 o'clock.
Well, that's when the store opens for the watch
party at 5 o'clock tonight and the gates to get into the ballpark.
The game itself is at 7 p.m.
But this line here is the real story.
So this line here, which goes all the way back to the parking lot,
is for watch party tickets for tonight, which as we reported,
went live for season ticket holders at 10 o'clock this morning.
The general public sale is at noon and we've got some fans here
who are really hoping to snag some of those tickets like Amy here
from Hartford. Hi Amy, good morning to you.
Good morning. Okay, so you've got quite the setup here.
Okay, so tell our viewers that
home what time you got to the ballpark today
and kind of what your strategy is
here in line because I think it's pretty creative
so I got here at 7 a.m. with
the rest of the folks
and I'm just doing some work right now in some school my
plan is to get our six tickets
so we can cheer on the win for the Brewers tonight
as we bring home the World Series now
okay Amy you're really smart because I'm
assuming you've Wi-Fi here right or you've internet access so guys this
woman is a genius be like Amy
so a big concern for folks who are in the line is
that when the tickets go live at noon,
they're just going to sell out like hotcakes like they
did last week. So Amy has her bases covered.
Baseball joke. Because you're going to go online
and be in line and be in line. Go online and be in line.
Hats off to you, Amy. If you don't get
these tickets, I don't know who will.
I'm hoping I want to be here tonight to wear them on and
bring home the World Series. You were at the watch parties
on Monday and Tuesday night as well,
right? Yes, I was, and it was a blast.
What's the vibe like in there? For folks who don't get a
ticket, they don't know what it's like.
What are they missing out on? A true home game. We get to
see the sausage runs. We get to play all the games.
Just the energy inside is amazing. It's like being
at a real game. You don't really seem like you're watching a TV.
It feels like you're watching a
game. I got to talk to you about last night.
Obviously, there was that moment when we didn't
have the lead anymore. She remembers it well.
What was that like inside the ballpark? I bet
it felt like you just let the air out of the stadium.
It did. One minute it was ecstatic,
everybody cheering. The next minute, real quiet.
But can't win them all, right? That's why we have
games. But we're going to do it tonight.
We're going to do it tonight. Yes, we are still just
one win away from a World Series championship.
And that is why I think so many people are in
line here, Jenna, because they want to be a part
of that magic that we're seeing at the ballpark.
So, again, we are here live at American Family Field.
I'm going to check back in with you at 1130.
Oh, good news, Team Store update line,
update on that Team Store line, it's gone.
So it looks like everybody who wanted to get into the Team Store
at 11 o'clock this morning was able to do so.
I'm sure they want to get their hoodies, their T-shirts,
their hats, their pennants, all the World Series stuff.
Nicola, it speaks to how devoted the fans
are that they were up late last night,
and then they got up early this morning,
and they got in another line, and they'll stay up late again tonight.
I know. Amy should have just slept here.
She should have.
I actually stayed until most of the crowd left to see
if there was going to be a line forming at the box office,
not knowing if tickets would go on sale.
But when everybody left, I said,
I'll go home for a little bit and come back.
Gosh, you better get those tickets.
Oh, my gosh. You deserve them.
All right, Jen, I'm going to send it back to you.
She better get tickets, Nicola. Thank you so much.
There will be a Game 5 watch party at American Family Field.
It begins at 7 tonight with parking lots opening
at 4.30 and gates at 5.
Tickets will be on sale in less than
an hour on the team's website for $15.
We expect you'll also be able to watch Game 5 tonight
at the Deer District and at Kegel's Inn in West Dallas.
They still have their big screen in the Beer Garden.
We'll keep you updated as more watch parties
are announced throughout the day.
