Thanks for logging on to myfoxhurricane.com.
34 days left in the hurricane season.
Everything remains very quiet.
Of course, this time of the year, we're not really paying attention
or looking well out into the Atlantic
for any sort of tropical formation.
Waters are typically cooling down.
You see some of that Saharan dust, and you notice the banner on here.
No tropical formation expected during the next seven days.
Now, the areas that we typically watch
this time of the year, it's the Caribbean.
It's into the Gulf.
It's also into the Western Atlantic,
but you notice the Gulf, the Caribbean, they're all quiet,
really hardly a cloud in the sky in many of these areas.
One area that we've been watching over
the past several days is basically the Western Atlantic.
Some of this moisture moving up from the Caribbean that has somewhat
pushed up in this area, but it's really not doing a whole lot.
You're seeing more of this dry air across the Caribbean and into
the Gulf and some moisture that is sitting well off to our east.
but computer models just really aren't doing much with this.
You look at the Fox weather model, here's this area, low pressure
that is sitting down basically through the Florida Straits.
You've got some of this rain sitting off to our east,
but watch as we go through time.
No organization with that.
That low tends to drift back to the west and dissipate,
but what we're going to watch as we head into the weekend
is actually a cold front pushing down over the southeast,
is pushing towards the state.
That's going to increase those rain chances as we head into the
weekend. Nothing tropical in nature,
but we are going to see some rain. So it does look like
things are going to stay quiet in the tropics.
Of course, we'll keep you updated right here
on myfoxhurricane.com.
