This succulent roast chicken is a must holiday dish. Ive adopted this recipe from my dad, it is a delicious and unique roasted chicken dish that is sure to impress any holiday gathering. Whether you’re hosting a small dinner party or cooking for the whole extended family, a roast chicken is one of the easiest dishes to make. That said, while many people learned to cook their chicken with onions and vegetables in a roasting pan, I like to surprise guests by adding something sweet—and it always gets compliments. My secret: diced pears, plums and apples. As the chicken cooks down, so does the fruit, creating an absolutely delicious sweet side dish that can be served alongside your vegetables.
Hello everyone!
Welcome to my channel.
Today I'll share with you
our family recipe of
roasted chicken. It's actually my dad's recipe
and we adore this chicken. So I hope you enjoy
it and it's a perfect Christmas dinner.
We're going to need large chicken, potatoes, carrots,
onion, lots of garlic, apple, pears, plums,
mustard, double cream and some mayonnaise
I've also got some salt
and pepper first of all we are going to peel our potatoes and carrots
cut and prepare your fruit so just cut
your pears and apples into bite-sized pieces
in a bowl add three tablespoons
of mayonnaise two teaspoons of
mustard add minced garlic potatoes
into the similar sizes add a little bit of oil onto
your baking tray take a potato and spread
it around.
Spread your carrots along the tray,
add your onion, add the rest of the
ingredients. Season well with some salt and pepper.
Put your chicken in the
middle of your dish
and spread the mixture all over the chicken from both
sides. You can add more salt
and pepper on top.
All the way through we're going to add
some double cream all on top
and around the chicken so just take it out.
