Happy Wednesday, everyone.
I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson in the Fox 13 Weather Center.
A little bit of everything today with some scattered showers,
cooler temperatures, along with some sunbreaks.
And that continues right into our Thursday as well as Friday.
We've got an upper level low offshore just kicking
these showers through the area.
Temperatures will remain below average here for the next several days.
We're looking at temperatures in the 50s.
No major warm-ups, but also no major cool-downs either.
The good news is for those trick-or-treaters heading into this weekend,
drier conditions, it will be on the cool side,
which is pretty typical here for the Pacific Northwest.
But the good news is you won't need any rain jackets
or umbrellas for those costumes.
Let's take a look at temperatures today.
Mid-50s, so high temperatures this time of year,
usually in the mid-50s, 56.
We're at 54, so not too bad.
Mid-50s for Seattle, Olympia, Chehalis.
Low 50s for Bellingham, 55 degrees for Wenatchee today.
mid-50s out along the coast.
A few degrees cooler today compared to yesterday and will be a degree
or two cooler tomorrow. Now looking at the big picture,
here's an upper level low that continues
to spin just offshore of the Pacific coast.
Now as we look at these conditions, you are seeing
some thunder and lightning storms with instability today.
That cool air aloft, there were a rumble of
thunder, but then once that sun goes down,
the decrease is into the evening. But you do see some
bands of some steadier, heavier showers,
even some potential hail with that cool air in there.
Through the rest of this week, though, we do see lower snow levels.
So scattered showers, light mountain snow,
not expecting anything major.
Of course, we did see several new inches up at a lot
of our mountain passes and our higher mountain peaks as well.
But we do see light snow here for the next several days
as temperatures stay cooler and then it does dry out to the weekend.
We raise back up heading into early next week.
Looking at our future cast the rest this evening,
a few spotty showers here and there heading into our Thursday.
Scattered showers to start the morning, staying mostly out along
the coast throughout Thursday afternoon and into the evening.
Mostly cloudy here and there, sunbreak or two,
and then scattered showers into Thursday.
Similar story into Friday.
We do kind of see these trailing showers coming
from the south throughout the day Friday.
Dry over eastern Washington, showers out along the coast.
Then heading into our Saturday,
we do see those early showers, but then it moves out.
Cloudy and foggy conditions to start the day,
but more sunbreaks by the afternoon.
Future wind gusts a little breezy through the rest of tonight.
It does calm down into tomorrow morning,
but maybe 20 to 25 miles per hour.
30s into the South Sound, Olympia, Centralia, and Shelton.
40 degrees out towards the Seattle area.
Tomorrow, your outdoor forecast, yard work,
some wet leaves with those on and off showers.
showers at times heading into the afternoon mid 50s across
the board Olympia Tacoma 50 for
Bellingham drier and upper 40s out along the coast
and looking at your extended forecast we
do see mid 50s heading into the weekend with mix of sun
and clouds into early next week
