While beef tongue may not be a very common dish on your menu, this rich cut of meat is enjoyed in many parts of the world, similar in flavor to brisket and corned beef. And, it's usually pretty cheap! Remember, you can’t say this is gross if you’ve never tried it. Try it once and then you can truly say you like it or hate it.

Hi guys, welcome to Alice's Yummy Food.
So there are two reasons why you clicked
on this video, because you're like, what the
hell is this?
And the second reason is that you love beef tongue, just like me.
Today I'm going to show you how to prepare it,
how to boil it in the correct way, and
then serve it how I like to eat it.
We eat it a lot in Latvia, it's quite a delicacy,
it's very juicy, very soft.
It's usually served as a starter,
but you can have it as a main course as well.
We're going to need one beef tongue or oxtail tongue,
fresh parsley, peppercorns, cloves,
bay leaves, one carrot, one celery and onion.
So it's a very simple, straightforward recipe.
We're going to need a big pan,
so fill it up with water and we're going to add all the
ingredients inside and cook it on a low medium heat
for about three hours until our tongue
is
done.
Tongue is cooked.
Let's have a look.
Wow.
It's all nice and onto your plate
and we're going to have to peel the skin while it's
still hot.
Once it's all peeled off, we're going to leave
it to cool down for about 10 minutes.
So then we're just going to slice it.
We're also going to add a bit of mayonnaise just on top.
So here it is,
guys.
Give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed this video.
I hope you try this dish.
It's so delicious, so amazing, one of my favorites.
And thanks again for spending time with me in my kitchen.
I'll see you soon.
Bye.
