It feels completely fitting to sit out here in the gentle sprinkling rain today to talk with you all. On June 6th, 2026, we lost our sweet, happy senior girl Memphis, and if this is how you are finding out, I apologize greatly. I wanted to sit down, film this Q&A, and answer the thoughtful questions you have been leaving in the comments. Losing a pet is something every one of us goes through at some point, and I think it is so important that we talk about the entire process so no one ever feels alone in their grief.
In this video, I am addressing many of the questions you asked, including whether Memphis is back home with us, how Kira and Eleanor are doing, and whether we took the other dogs with us to the vet. We also talk about how our household routines have changed, how our close friends and family are holding up, and whether we have any plans for a new puppy in the future. Processing loss takes time for humans and pets alike, but sitting down together to share these memories brings so much comfort.
We are taking things day by day, leaning on our wonderful support system, and focusing on giving Kira and Eleanor the happiest lives possible.
