I tried this calisthenics challenge that The Proof came up with
50 pull-ups and 100 pushups in UNDER 5 minutes.
Chris Herria also did it…I think…I didn’t see if he completed it in under 5 min.

What is up, everybody?
I recently came across a video of The Proof. It's this beast dude,
this calisthenics guy, doing a challenge.
It was the 50 pull-ups and 100 push-ups
consecutive challenge. And he did it in under five minutes.
So that is the challenge. For those
of you who have been watching my videos and following along,
you know I like to do a lot
of pull-ups and push-ups.
And a lot of my workouts sometimes are just pull-ups and push-ups
when I can't get into a gym
or I don't want to have access to other equipment. Like if I'm
traveling, I even saw that Chris Heria did
the challenge a few months back and I'm not sure if
he did an under five, but you know,
it seems like a pretty good challenge. I can probably knock out
the 50 pull-ups pretty quickly and a hundred pushups.
The thing is that you have to do the 50
pull-ups first. And only after you complete the 50 pull-ups,
can you go into the pushups? I'm
fairly confident i can do this in under five minutes i want
to see if i can set a pretty good
time now the two guys that i've seen
do this i know there have been countless others brownies
done it a lot of you know guys who do calisthenics content
and gym workout content have been doing
this challenge so it's only right that i get in on the action
and give it a go all right so the
rules of the challenge super simple one you got
to do the 50 pull-ups before you start your 100
push-ups two you can break it up into as many sets
however you want it doesn't have to be 50
consecutive so if you can't do 50 still complete this challenge
so i'm going to get up on the bar
we'll
start
all
right
that's
35 it's
45, five
more
pull-ups
and
then we
go into
push-ups
it's 50
push-ups 50 pull-ups
here we go with the
push-ups all right
that's 60. the thing
is you want to keep
breathing on this because your energy the energy
in your muscles is going to deplete very quickly
oxygen. You're gonna need a lot of it
to keep going in these challenges.
All right,
we're at 60, 70, 75.
The pump from
doing 50 pull-ups
and going
straight
into this.
It's just that lactic acid overload in the muscles
is what's making it really difficult
to keep going. Normally, you do hundreds and hundreds of reps.
You take normal sets,
normal breaks
between sets.
All right, we're at 75,
80. That's 85.
I got 15 more to go.
shake
out all
that fluid
build up.
Let's go.
10 more, two,
five more,
five more.
All right,
that's 50 pull-ups, 100 push-ups in under five minutes.
By the way, the pump just from 50 pull-ups
and 100 push-ups done quickly is insane and I can feel it.
I feel my triceps are insanely puffed up
right now. I feel it in my chest.
Back, not so much because 50 pull-ups for the back is light
work but when you go back to chest
and triceps just like that and then you keep pushing and pushing
and pushing you really feel it in your muscles
that lactic acid builds up and you get that insane
pump goes to show calisthenics is still legit to still compete
and contend with your weightlifting
exercises if you do it right let me know
