Ukraine is capable of quickly recapturing occupied territories , which cost the Russians considerable time and effort to capture. However, to achieve this, the military command must prioritize providing the most effective units with the necessary resources and authority. This was stated by serviceman and former MP Ihor Lutsenko in a Facebook post .

He said diplomatic agreements between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, concessions on sanctions, and disputes over Starlink's operations should not distract attention from the situation on the front lines.

"As long as Ukraine maintains the ability to conduct rapid offensive operations, all of Russia's successes are a house built on sand, which will inevitably collapse at the right moment under the right weather conditions," Lutsenko emphasized. As an example, he cited the results of Operation Vivaldi, which was carried out by the Third Corps together with attached units. As a result, Ukrainian troops liberated 277 square kilometers of territory and inflicted approximately 8,000 casualties on the enemy.

Moreover, according to Lutsenko, the operation made it possible to stabilize the front in the relevant area, preserve key logistics routes, disrupt the encirclement of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, and ease the pressure on Kupyansk-Vuzlovaya.

The author of the publication emphasized that such results demonstrate Ukraine's ability to defeat Russia regardless of political agreements between Washington and Moscow.

"Ukraine has demonstrated time and again that it is capable of defeating Russia. And no separate agreements between Washington and Moscow will change this," the statement reads.

Lutsenko appealed to Ukraine's military and political leadership to change the approach to distributing resources and authority within the army. He believed that priority should be given to units demonstrating the best results, and talented commanders should be given greater autonomy in decision-making.

He expressed confidence that this approach would help repeat the success of Operation Vivaldi and achieve new results at the front.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Dobropillia and other settlements remain under Ukrainian control , denying Putin's claims of their capture. He emphasized the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are neutralizing Russian attacks and infiltrations, holding positions in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia oblasts. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers have liberated more territory than the Russians managed to capture, and thanked each unit for completing their missions.
