The NHL is horrified of the Florida Panthers
as they've been having an insane start to
this season, breaking records early on.
In this video, we're going to break down
the insane run of games that the Florida Panthers
have been on, talk about what's to come next for them,
and just if they can keep this momentum
going.
So you're not going to miss this episode of NHL Digest.

But yes, today we're back talking about the Florida Panthers
as they've been breaking records
and playing some insane hockey
through the first few games of this season
and have really cemented themselves
as a top team in the Atlantic Division
with some key injuries, I might add.
So that's great to see the Florida Panthers
picking up and coming back in this season
and trying to get back into the playoffs
and trying to get back to their winning ways
of winning Stanley Cup so let's dive
into everything that they've been doing so far and
the first thing we want to talk about is an insane record
a historic record that they did set with
their last game the Florida Panthers make hat trick history
as the Florida Panthers become the
first team ever to have three games in a row
with natural hat tricks that means three goals scored
by the same player consecutively in a game
so they've done that in three straight games they
become the first team ever to do this in their eight
to three win over the Seattle Kraken wow
like that's just an insane record
but you know Brady Tkachuk has back-to-back natural hat tricks
and then Carter Verhaeghe comes out
and has a natural hat trick himself I mean this is
crazy I can't believe we're talking about
this because the Florida Panthers have been having a
great start and I mean Brady Kachuk started slow
this season he had a bad start for this year and
now he comes out shows everybody that he you know he
is Brady Kachuk and that he can perform
with this team. Back-to-back natural
hat-tricks for him. And then, obviously
Carter Verhaeghe, he's been such
a great player for this team over the years
and he has a big one here last night. And obviously
we just kind of look at the timeline for this
historic hat-trick. We see Brady starts it
on October 13th in the 7-3
win at Columbus. Then he repeats it in the next game
in a 3-2 overtime comeback
against the Vancouver Canucks. And then
last night, October 17th, they had
Verhaeghe and Bennett both have
hat-tricks. Bennett's wasn't natural, but
Verhaeghe was so they had two hat tricks in last night's game
so they've just been the hat trick
team this season they've been playing unbelievable they're now
on a three game win streak after this
and they're just racking up the points
and just being a great team uh over these last three games
and have really showed everybody that they
are the offensive powerhouse that they that everybody
thought they would be even without guys like Barkov
so that's great to see for them I'd love
to see that in Verhaeghe like I said he was the last one
to do it last night he's got eight points on
the year right now six goals to assist he's just such
a great player for this team you love to see
him get into the offense early obviously Sam Bennett again had
a hat trick in last night's
game he got his first three goals of the year all
in the same game uh six points for him and a plus
five on the year for Sam Bennett
so that's great to see they've been winning games handily this
year their offense has been on fire
and of course the breakout guy Brady Kachuk he's breaking out
for Florida right now uh just kind of looking
at like where his trends have been and you know what
we're kind of looking at for him look he had
his last you know over all the three games he never
had a goal last night but they had three games two games
or two games back to back with natural
hat tricks and then looking at the points they've all come over
these last five games which has
racking them up on the season to be a was it 10 points right now
on the year after starting the
year very slow in the last five games he's got 10
points six goals four assists 32 shots on goal
he's been so good all year
for this team five power play points you love to see that obviously
getting this guy in this offseason was a huge addition
for them obviously you get the Kachuk
brothers and everybody's like okay this team's gonna
be dangerous at the start of the year they
kind of struggle right I mean at least you know Brady did
and they were all like was this trade
worth it now it's definitely paying off you just need
to fit into the system fit it under Maurice
and just find how to play his game and he has found it now
and he's playing exceptional hockey
and just see Paul Maurice saying about, you know, the Kachuk brothers,
they're saying there's obviously some chemistry there.
Verhege also praises them as well, saying they've been great.
And then, you know, we see here
that Brady says it's something that, of course,
you could always dream of happening, and now it's happening, right?
He goes back-to-back natural hat tricks playing with his brother.
You love to see that from this guy.
I know a lot of Senators fans hate to see it,
but I know Florida Panthers fans love to see it for sure.
And we see here the Florida Panthers share the scoring load right now,
early obviously like I said Verhege has been a guy
who's been very good this season looking at
his trends he had three goals last game
his last three games he has five goals so he's been great
looking at his point totals a lot of them have come over
these last three games as well averaging
two points a game so it's great to see Verhege start
to you know pick up this season and just
kind of looking at his finishing right now he'd
be expected to have about three almost four goals
he has six he has a 37 percent shooting percentage
so he's beating you know his early projections
this is kind of what we expected for him early
this season he's exceeding that handily especially
in shooting percentage for sure which is great to see
and we kind of just take a look at Matthew
Kachuk I mean he's been having
a great year 14 points three goals 11 assists he's been really
diving into his playmaking bag here earlier
in this season we know he's a great goal scorer as
well but he's been dishing out some great passes here
for this team just looking at his assists
across all nine games his last four games he has he had
a game with five assists then he had you
A couple of games with one and then three assists in last night's game.
He's averaging 1.2 assists across his first nine games this season,
which is great, considering that they've all come recently.
And the Florida Panthers are looking to build off
this early momentum for them as well.
Just kind of looking at where they're at in the standings right now.
They're tied with three teams for second in the Atlantic Division.
Like I said, this division is going to be very tough this year,
and the Florida Panthers are going to have to be a very,
very good team all season long
if they want to get back into the playoffs,
solidify themselves as a top three team here in this division.
And they're definitely proving that lately
with a big win against Columbus, 7-3,
an 8-3 win last night against Seattle.
I mean, this team has just been so dominant.
If they can keep this up, there's
no doubt that they will be the favorite
to win another Stanley Cup this year for sure.
Just looking at how their special
teams are performing so far this year,
that 20% on the power play, which is solid, right?
They've been having a good power play here early on.
Their penalty kill is at 80%, which is solid as well.
And it's kind of like their special teams have kind of been mid so far.
So we need to see their special teams start to pick it up,
kill more penalties, score more power play goals.
But, you know, obviously, you know, Kachuk,
Matthew Kachuk has seven power play points here early this season.
So that's great to see.
So let's kind of see what comes next for this team.
And it's a big game coming up on Wednesday.
It's Brady Kachuk's first game back in Ottawa.
this is a must watch game for every NHL fan every NHL fan needs
to tune into this game Wednesday
because it's going to be absolute fireworks
as they go against the Ottawa Senators uh you know
for the first time in the Canadian Tire Center
as Brady Kachuk the former captain returns will
they see another natural hat trick for him probably I would say
his first game back in the Canadian
Tire Center he is going to be a man on a mission
and he's going to absolutely dominate this team
I have no doubt in it especially for what everybody had
to say about him on Ottawa after
this season. So it's going to be an
interesting one Wednesday. I know a lot of people are going to be
tuning in. So this is kind of what we need
to do to carry forward here in Florida.
Keep creating chances beyond the hat tricks.
Maintain scoring threats across the lineup and turn
special teams into a consistent advantage.
So that's kind of what we need to do. Just get better
at the special teams and the wins will just
keep coming. So what do you guys think?
What's been Florida's scoring surge? What does it
mean? The offense has found its rhythm.
Strong signs about finishing will
cool or do you think it needs a longer run to judge?
Let me know what you guys are feeling down below.
what do you think about them breaking this record i mean
that's insane what they've been doing down
in florida uh they've been they've been playing

gonna finish first in the atlantic let me know down below
