Crux Halloween climb contest

Alright, it's time to get spooky. It's Halloween season and Crux Climbing, they are doing their annual Frankenstein, which I am having Ashley join me here in studio because, what is this? Yeah, so Frankenstein is our annual Halloween climbing competition held at our central location on October 24th. And this year's theme is Temple of Doom, so we'll be transforming the space with a bunch of spooky decorations and yeah uh black lights with me yeah it'll be a whole thing i love that you guys like pick a theme temple of doom yeah i love it i love it all right what can people expect this year yeah so we'll have a lot going on and i'll probably forget something but we'll have a raffle we'll have vendors we'll have free drinks we'll have a merch drop which i'm wearing one of the shirts that will drop yeah it's great and there's a great design on the back we'll also have Rumi Lane which is a local Austin business on site doing live chain stitching oh cool yeah and we'll also have JD Tattoo doing free tattoos on a first come first serve basis and if you get the Crux C tattooed on you you can be eligible to win a free year at Crux okay that might be worth it yeah okay so this is happening Saturday now there's two sessions it's a competition tell me a little bit about the time differences and stuff like that yeah so there's really no difference in like the session that you participate in it's just to accommodate people's schedule we'll have three uh like categories beginner intermediate and advanced for different like if you want to compete against men women okay non-binary so there are a lot of options we'll have the two sessions 1:30 to 4:30 and then 6 to 9 p.m. okay i love that there's two options yes i'm asleep by six on a saturday because i have to come here it's fine that's fair we don't need to get into it okay so if people can't come to the event but they want to support Crux how can they do that yeah so you can head to our website cruxclimbingcenter.com and that will have the link to register it'll have the full schedule if you want to buy a raffle ticket you'll you will have to come in okay um but if you want to spectate you can just come you don't have to yeah you can just people watch you can vote on the costumes vote on anything a lot of things enjoy the free drinks yeah it's like a vibe yeah it's a whole party If people want to come, do they need to purchase tickets online? You kind of mentioned that, or register. How does that work? If you want to just watch people climb, you can just come. You can just come. But if you want to compete to climb, you will have to register. It's $35 for members and $50 for non-members. Okay. Sounds like a good time. The costumes. Do people climb in their costumes? Yes. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Maybe make sure you have some pants on. well and there are a bunch of fun silly climbs so it's not all strictly climbing okay yeah we had like a an ode to Titanic last year so you had to like pull someone up okay on the door i kind of love that and yeah and like i'll practice that on like a float in the pool sometimes i'm like she had plenty of room yeah i'm just kidding and you can pile on top like For real, but I'm not judging.
