Good day, Austin weather with Fox 7 meteorologist Adelie Rowe.
And after a long stretch
of above average temperatures day after day in the 90s,
Mother Nature finally putting that burr
in October in the 70s is what we warmed up to
on Friday when that cold front came through.
And then on Saturday, just yesterday, I hope you got
out there and enjoyed it.
It wasn't as windy and we only warmed up to 69 here in Austin.
We're 47 right now, so even cooler than we were yesterday
at this time with those light winds, low humidity,
mostly clear conditions, just perfect for us to cool off overnight.
49 in Rockdale, 44 in Bastrop.
Moving over to Blanco, you are 40.
50 over in Burnett, so make sure you grab
your jacket before you head out the door.
It's a little bit chilly.
about nine degrees cooler at the airport five degrees cooler
in La Grange and four degrees
cooler here in Austin and here's a look
at those winds they're pretty calm coming in from the north
at about five to ten throughout the day
and they will start to shift a little bit more
to the east and as we take a look at these dew points
not too bad i mean we are dry out there
we don't see this very often so make sure you get out there
and enjoy it because the humidity
is going to start to go up.
Not too bad tomorrow, but man, take a look. By the time we get to the
second half of the week, we're going to be right back
into that oppressive category and temperatures
are going to be warming up, unfortunately.
So I can't say it enough. Just open up your windows
and make the most out of this cool weather while we still have it.
Later on this afternoon, right
around 12 30 we're going to be in the 60s
and then highs today lower 70s for most of us so
slightly warmer than we were just yesterday
that warming trend is going to continue a little bit
warmer tomorrow morning you'll see more 50s than 40s
and then temperatures getting closer to the
80s by monday if not hitting the lower 80s in a couple
of spots taking a look at those rain chances
for us things are very quiet day after day mostly sunny conditions
no rain chances but take a look
over at the east coast there is an area that we'll
be keeping a close eye on with a low chance of
development but other than that i mean things
are pretty quiet as we go ahead and take a look it
does have a 40% chance in these next several days
but regardless if it turns into anything tropical
It's going to be impacting the East Coast with some dangerous surf,
some winds, and some heavy downpours potentially.
And for us, it's not until we get to 18 to 14 days out,
a little bit closer to Halloween,
it's right around the corner,
that we'll start to see those rain chances again
and actually be wetter than average and warmer than average as well.
By the way, average is about 82 for our high this time of year.
And here's a look at that seven day forecast.
Temperatures below average for a couple more days,
but then we'll slowly start to warm up.
Going to be approaching the 90s by the time we get to next weekend,
but no rain chances. And today is going to be absolutely gorgeous.
We're just so lucky that this happened
on the weekend where people are able to get out and enjoy it.
