Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe current weather is exceptionally cool and dry, with temperatures well below the average. While the immediate forecast remains pleasant and dry, humidity and heat are expected to return by early next week, with temperatures climbing back toward 90 degrees. No significant rainfall is expected over the next seven days.
Welcome back. We're looking at a nice cool 67 degrees outside.
It is dry. North winds at six miles per hour.
Humidity 33%, high pressure controls.
You can see there with the pressure reading and the dew point is 37.
Remember the last time we had a dew point of 37.
It's been a long time ago.
But that is super dry air and it's a very nice day out there.
Just some mid and high level clouds for the most part.
Today the best we could do was 67 degrees outside.
and for the first time
also in a long time including yesterday we are below average our
average is 82 the record high is 95
and nowhere near that we were closer to our record low of 40
set in 1898 our rain chances the next few days
not looking good i think austin will be dry through at
least wednesday but the mugginess will come back
however we're going to start off with dry
conditions today and tonight
and that will continue through sunday we start seeing the
Humidity jump back up again
as southeast winds make a return from the Gulf.
And we're going to start feeling that on Monday,
especially Monday night into Tuesday.
And it's going to feel very uncomfortable again,
unfortunately, for Tuesday and Wednesday.
So we're not saying goodbye to the heat altogether.
It's coming back as high as by the end
of this upcoming week will probably be close to 90 degrees once again.
Rain chances, though, not looking good.
This high-pressure ridge behind this cold front has wiped out all
of our moisture for the time being.
and I'm not expecting any rainfall over
the next seven days at least nothing more than an isolated
shower at best. Even the high resolution models
for tonight do spit out some clouds a sprinkle
or two but it's too dry I think at the surface
so if you were lucky enough to get a sprinkle that
would be a very unlikely scenario for you.
Other models do want to show that but I think we're just
too dry at the surface right now for us
and I'm going to keep us dry for the time being. These
are LCRA numbers with a north
and northeasterly wind for you at 63 in Llano and Mason and
Fredericksburg, 62 in Burnet and Lampasas.
To the east, a little bit warmer, but not much.
La Grange, you're looking at 70 degrees.
We've got upper 60s also around Luling and Smithville.
Over the next few hours, temperatures, steady drop,
probably end up in the 50s through at least
three or four, and I do think we'll get in the 40s even
in the city of Austin overnight tonight.
Fairly partly cloudy skies expected for just about everybody
and very cool, be in the 40s again in the morning.
I think some upper 30s may occur low
lying areas out in the hill country.
And then by lunch hour, we're looking at 50s once again in 60s.
Tomorrow should be just a touch warmer
and we should make it into the 70s across portions of our area,
especially from Austin and I-35 corridor to the east.
So for Austin here specifically, chilly morning,
49 degrees, north wind, very light,
75 degrees. Very nice day
Great day to get outdoors
in the seventies again on
the humidity jumps Tuesday
Highs in the eighties get
