Welcome back. We are looking now at temperatures in the 40s
and 50s across most of the area,
but there are some 60s hanging around.
Bastrop, Giddings, Lockhart, even downtown Austin at 60
degrees at the moment. 48 if you're in Mason and 48 in Lampasas.
So in this part of the hill
country, northern western zones out here,
it is not unlike, well, it's not impossible that we
will drop into the upper 30s by the time you wake up on Sunday morning.
And the rest of us will
probably be in the forties for the most part.
Here's Austin's current readings
as of nine o'clock 60 degrees winds are calm now
and then we have clear skies
to go with calm winds and high pressure
and control dry air dew points in the
thirties. We have what's called radiational cooling and that allows
temperatures, especially
in low lying areas near creeks, rivers and streams
and especially outside of the city
to drop into the very cool numbers there
for us, 40s for most of us.
Since the dew point is 38, some upper 30s can't be ruled out for a few
spotty locations. Not everybody.
I don't think we'll see frost, but it's going to be cool. 49
degrees, the low at Camp Mabry this morning.
69, the high. 61 and 82, your average. 95, the record
high. Record low is only 40, and that was set in 1898, a long time ago.
The last seven days, of course,
It's hard to believe Tuesday we were at 97,
Wednesday we were at 96, then that cold front
rolled through and Friday's high was 75,
today was 69, and tomorrow we're back in the mid-70s,
I think. For the next few hours,
it has us basically in the upper 40s. This is in downtown
Austin Bergstrom and areas outside of the city may
be just a bit cooler, so don't be surprised
if it drops in the middle 40s, even some lower 40s.
On these type of nights when there's hardly
any wind you can see a pretty wide range
in temperatures over a sh
of our elevation temperatures
at six a.m. This is in downtown
be a mostly sunny day, perhaps a few high
clouds, but no rain. And this is keeping
us dry basically through Wednesday. So not
putting any rain in our forecast until after
that buggy cast, very comfy air for the most
part again tomorrow, it starts to rise tomorrow night and
Monday and Tuesday. We get into this miserable
and even uncomfortable range
again. It's gonna be humid again, unfortunately, but we will see very
little rainfall out of that humidity.
So it's just gonna feel uncomfortable
and you'll get another taste of summer
for a couple of days. Some clouds maybe
in the morning. I'm not expecting much
in the way of precipitation, your
temperatures. I'm not sure why they
didn't plot up here, but it's gonna be
in the forties and thirties early on for most of us
and then 49 for Austin
with a light northerly wind
and daytime highs tomorrow should make it into the mid 70s across
the area with winds out of the north
and northeast at about 5 to 15 miles per hour
here's our seven-day forecast got 75 for your Sunday 78 on Monday
and then Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday it's like this cold front never happened. Close
to 90 degrees again by Thursday and Friday
so it's a roller coaster ride coming up. Wow, not
much will it rain? I'm looking forward to the 70s
tomorrow, the 90s going back to the 90s later
this week is crazy to me after we just got so cold
it's like weather whiplash going on around there
but that's just the way i do prefer a day like we
just had though and that's my kind of weather i
do too especially in October i like it too i really enjoy
being able to just put on like a nice little light jacket
and then that's it anything super cold
though yeah i don't know the hats and the gloves
then i start to feel really really i'm not a fan
of extreme heat and not a fan of extreme cold either
but 70 is just about it's the perfect
It's the perfect thing.
That's right.
All right.
Well, thank you very much, Gary.
