Larissa, all five people are expected to be okay.
Yes, that's right.
They are expected to be okay.
And first responders say that this could have been much worse.
And they are shocked that there were no fatalities today.
The colorful walls of Tattletail's Learning Center reduced to rubble
after Florida Highway Patrol says an SUV plowed through it.
Ana Pablo lives across the street,
and she says she heard a horrific sound and ran outside.
When I got out, I heard children shouting, we need help, we need help.
When I went to see what was actually happening,
the car was already inside.
Around 3 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol says a 79-year-old man
was driving down Pine Hills Road when he lost control,
crossed the median, went through oncoming traffic,
hit the shoulder, and ended up inside the daycare.
Fourteen people were inside with children as young as four years old.
The fact that there are no fatalities here today is a blessing.
I'm very shocked. Like the four kids were sitting at a table right
after snack time, and that was where they were impacted.
Three kids were hurt, along with an instructor and the driver.
First responders say they are all expected to be all right
and did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Akiya Luckett was working at the daycare right next door.
I've seen other parents and bystanders helping get
the kids from out the building,
taking down the windows, whatever they can to help the kids.
She says when she and her co-workers heard
the crash, they sprung into action,
also helping children out of the building
and bringing them inside theirs,
where they waited safely for their parents to arrive.
When the kids came into the center
and they're all panicking and asking where their mom is,
it broke my heart because it's like they're supposed to be safe there
and they felt the most unsafe in that moment.
And we still don't know what the cause of the crash was.
FHP is still investigating.
We did speak to the daycare's owner.
They did not want to comment on the matter.

And Larissa, today's crash is very similar to a 2014 tragedy.
tragedy. A hit and run driver caused another

Four-year-old Lily Quintus was killed and 14 others were hurt.
Two years later, Orange County
passed a law in her name requiring crash barriers
at new daycares in unincorporated Orange County,
but existing buildings were not required to install them.
