Mindfulness with Leia - 03 restlessness

Chasing the Next Better Moment Today, we will look at a subtle form of restlessness: the constant search for the next moment to be better than this one.
We don’t always fidget or overthink. Sometimes, we simply feel like we’re waiting for now to be over.
Waiting for the bell to ring.
Waiting for peace to arrive.
Waiting for something to shift.
This is the kind of restlessness that shows up as impatience.
We’re not running from pain, we’re running toward a fantasy.
The next breath will be deeper.
The next sit will be quieter.
The next version of me will be wiser.
It’s the subtle belief that this can’t be it.
(This might be why there are so many single people in today's society)
In Qigong and mindfulness, the invitation is to not skip ahead.
To stay with the imperfect moment—fully, and kindly.
While you meditating, you don’t need to fix your monkey mind, you just need to stay with the imperfect moment fully and kindly.
