The Mind That Won’t Stop. In the previous video, we explored how restlessness shows up in the body. Today, we turn to its more familiar form: the restless mind.

Have you noticed how thoughts can speed up the moment you try to slow down?
The to-do list.
That one conversation.
The imagined future.
The replayed past.
It’s like the mind is allergic to stillness.

Restlessness of mind isn’t just “thinking”, it’s scattered thinking.
It’s when we leap from one thought to the next, unable to stay with what’s here.

Often, what’s underneath that busyness is discomfort. We fill the space so we don’t have to feel the silence.

Mindfulness doesn’t ask us to stop the thoughts. It asks us to see them clearly.

In Qigong and meditation, we practice not fighting the mind, but anchoring awareness, over and over, to the present moment.

If there’s tension, greet it with awareness. This is how aversion feels in the body. Let that be enough.

Each time you notice yourself thinking, just come back. Not with judgment, but with a gentle return.

Thoughts may still come—and that’s fine. You don’t have to follow them.
You can just be with them.

Let yourself be exactly as you are. Let the practice meet you there.
And if the mind starts to push something away, just notice that too.
Come back to breath and back to presence.

We’ll close here, with the intention to meet irritation, not with judgment, but with curiosity. I have learned to let restlessness walk beside me.

I hope that was useful,
Leia
