💜 She’s NOT Gone — Mama Is Very Much Alive #dementia

Today was a rough day in the life of dementia. When I arrived at the facility, Mama was nonstop walking — barefooted, restless, and on the move. I tried to wipe her feet, put socks and shoes on, but she wasn’t having it.

And on top of that, I’ve had multiple people ask me today if Mama is still alive. Let me set the record straight: YES, she is very much alive. In fact, physically she’s doing better than most her age — still strong, still walking, still full of fight.

This journey isn’t easy, but moments like this remind me of her strength. Dementia changes a lot, but it hasn’t taken her spirit.
