Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia continues to strike Ukraine’s energy sector, civilian logistics and critical infrastructure, stressing that Ukraine’s responses are having a tangible impact.“Russia does not stop its strikes against our energy sector, ordinary logistics and critical infrastructure. And our responses to them for this are tangible,” Zelenskiy said. Commenting on the fresh Ukrainian strikes on Russia, Zelenskiy said: “ There are new results from the Defense Forces of Ukraine against the oil refinery in Syzran, as well as a strike in Taganrog on an enterprise producing drones, and on a site for the preparation and launch of drones in the Oryol region. There were also strikes in the Black Sea. I thank every one of our warriors for the effectiveness of our long-range sanctions.” Zelenskyy also welcomed the United States’ decision concerning Russia’s VTB bank, describing it as one of Russia’s systemically important banks and accusing it of being significantly involved in schemes supporting Russia’s war effort and its ties with the Iranian regime. “All such schemes that work against peace really need to be destroyed. Thank you to our partners for this useful step,” he said. Zelenskyy stressed that ending the war remains the only option and called for continued international pressure on Russia to create the necessary conditions for diplomacy. “There is no alternative to ending this war. And all forms of pressure on Russia need to create the right diplomatic situation. Glory to Ukraine!”
