As reported assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev shared a post on his X account about his visit to the Ganjasar and Khudavang churches together with representatives of the diplomatic corps. “Together with the diplomatic corps, we visited the Ganjasar and Khudavang churches — an integral part of the ancient Albanian Christian heritage. Ganjasar was established in the 13th century by Hasan-Jalal Dawla, the Caucasian Albanian ruler, and stands as an important testament to the centuries-old Christian heritage of Caucasian Albania. Every historical, cultural and religious monument on the territory of Azerbaijan, irrespective of its origin or religious affiliation, forms an integral part of our country’s rich cultural heritage. The Azerbaijani state is committed to their protection, preservation and restoration”, he said.
Besides, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev demonstrated that the books presented as an exhibition of ancient Armenian books in the Gandzasar monastery during the occupation were fake. H. Hajiyev showed that the books had text and drawings on only one page, and the other pages were blank. It should be noted that representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps visited the Gandzasar Monastery Complex, one of the religious and cultural centers of Caucasian Albania, which was subjected to Armenian vandalism, located in the Aghdara region of Azerbaijan, on the second day of their visit to Karabakh. All of this has sparked great disappointment and anger among Armenians. This is also evident from posts shared on social media. For example, a social media user named Hayk Demoyan writes: “What would Hikmet Hayev know about the fact that in the village of Gandzasar, copies of handwritten heirloom rings hand-delivered to foreign ambassadors in Azerbaijan were handed out at exhibitions. I presented them to Matenadaran in 2013: Artsakh to make copies of handwritten hereditary rings and Gandzasar for demonstration, attached to the monastery. What an irony of fate. It was at these exhibitions that the documents of the countries that officially recognized the Armenian genocide were presented, countries in which the ambassadors were very happy with Hayev's historical "researches". What an irony and disgrace to our country's memory and heritage”. But Kharkiv-based public figure, historian, and blogger Philipp Vartanovich Ekozyanets says that ancient Armenian history, as we know it today, resembles a huge crust of dried blood mixed with old bandages. “Tearing it off a healthy body is as painful as it is necessary to prevent infection and a fatal outcome. And since no one, as I see it, is going to do this, and the degenerative processes in our bodies are in full swing, I'll start myself, and then God will decid”, he adds. All of this clearly demonstrates how Azerbaijan's approach infuriates the Armenians and reinforces Baku's victory.
