The Russian salient north of Liman has been officially cleared of the aggressor by Ukrainian forces. The OSINT project AMK Mapping writes about this . Over the past week, the remaining Russian units fled the bridgehead west of the Nitrius River and then continued their retreat further east, towards the Zherebets River. Ukrainian forces have recaptured the villages of Shandrigolovo, Sredne, Zelenaya Dolina, Derilovo, and Novomykhailivka, as well as most of the forested areas between them. Ukrainian units are currently attempting to reach the Zherebets River from several directions simultaneously. The main advance is along the gullies from Novoye, from where Ukrainian forces are approaching the villages of Ivanovka and Terny. Other assault groups are actively fighting for Kolodyazi and are close to establishing full control of the village. Simultaneously, attacks continue along the gullies on its flanks. Meanwhile, on the far left flank of this counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces have liberated the village of Novomykhailivka and are expanding their penetration zone along the ravine toward Novolyubivka. Small groups of Ukrainian troops have managed to cross into the Luhansk region, where they are attempting to take up isolated positions in the forested areas. On the far right flank of this advance, Ukrainian forces are increasing their penetration into Zarechnoye, expanding the gray zone on the northern streets. They are currently attempting to cross the Zherebets River and retake control of strongholds in the Torsk fish farm. With the Russian salient eliminated, the threat of encirclement of Liman has been eliminated, and the pressure on Slavyansk and Borovaya has been significantly reduced. More than a year of advances and offensive actions by Russian forces has now been completely reversed. Plus about 151.88 square kilometers in favor of Ukraine.
Recently, soldiers of the 1st Assault Regiment named after Dmitry Kotsyubail liberated the village of Rybnoye, in the Hulyai-Pole direction. Rybnoye was captured by the enemy at the end of January. Russian forces turned the town into a key defensive hub. The operation to push back the Russians continued for the next six months. "First, soldiers from the 2nd Assault Battalion of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment attacked a key supply line, cutting off the enemy from ammunition, food, and fuel. The enemy could no longer infiltrate isolated Rybnoye. The final stage was a carefully planned cleanup," the military said.
