US President Donald Trump again commented on the consequences for Iran of a retaliatory strike by the US military. "If they retaliate, they'll be hit much harder. And if they do it again, they'll cease to exist. They don't stop. They're insane and stupid. They tried to rebuild their radar system because they can't see anything. We waited until it was almost built, and then we destroyed it," Trump said.
He expressed doubt about the value of a possible agreement, emphasizing that the United States has repeatedly provided Iran with opportunities to reach an agreement. Trump also announced that the US Navy aircraft carrier USS George Washington is fully supplied with ammunition.
A major investigation by the Financial Times has revealed details of one of the most secret and strategically important military deals between Moscow and Tehran. Russia is secretly assisting Iran in developing advanced supersonic cruise missiles, transferring critical technologies. The long-standing, classified program was codenamed C430L. Russia's most experienced rocket scientists were recruited to implement it. The project's main goal is to help Iran master ramjet technology, which enables missiles to maintain supersonic speeds. Threat to the Navy: New weapons are being developed to destroy land targets and American warships, including aircraft carriers, in the Middle East. Advantages of the technology: The combination of extreme speed and the ability to fly at extremely low altitudes leaves virtually no time for modern air defense systems to detect and intercept. Scale of the transfer: According to industry analysts, this is an unprecedented transfer of technology, which the Iranian side has been trying unsuccessfully to obtain for decades.
Experts note that the C430L project represents a qualitatively new level of military partnership. While cooperation was previously limited to the delivery of Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones to Russia for shelling civilian cities in Ukraine, Moscow is now sharing its advanced scientific and technical expertise with Tehran.
Analysts attribute this to the Kremlin's attempts to expand the geography of the confrontation and shift Washington's attention to new regions, disregarding previous "red lines." Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has previously openly declared his intention to support his Iranian partners during difficult times, which is directly confirmed by the implementation of such secret defense programs.
Recall, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two sides discussed Moscow's assistance to Tehran in its conflict with the United States.
"In this difficult period, we are trying to provide you with the assistance you need. We have already discussed this with you. We are supplying you with the necessary goods. Despite the military and political situation, we are maintaining the momentum achieved last year in our trade and economic cooperation," Putin said. Addressing the Russian dictator, the Iranian leader emphasized that possessing significant political and military power does not give states the right to act contrary to international norms and law. He assessed that US actions against Iran lacked legal justification, scientific justification, or logical explanation.
