A new major fire has broken out at a major logistics facility in Russia. In the Pushkinsky District of St. Petersburg, the blaze engulfed a massive warehouse complex, burning tens of thousands of square meters. In the wake of the incident, information emerged about a possible sabotage operation by a partisan movement operating directly on Russian territory. This was reported by the Telegram channel Ukraine_365News , which links the destruction of the facility to the activities of partisans. The version of internal sabotage attracts attention for another reason. Ukraine regularly launches drone strikes against targets in Russia. Just yesterday, drones attacked the Ozon logistics center in the Samara region, causing a massive fire. In that case, reports of the drone attack surfaced almost immediately.
However, in the case of the large-scale fire near St. Petersburg, there are no reports of Ukrainian missiles or UAVs striking this warehouse directly at the time of publication . It is this circumstance that may indirectly point to another scenario of what happened – a possible operation carried out from within Russia. The absence of reports of an airstrike, of course, does not in itself prove the involvement of guerrillas. However, combined with the Telegram channel's report on underground activities, this version deserves attention.
The fire spread extremely quickly throughout the warehouse complex. Russian emergency services had to deploy approximately 200 firefighters and dozens of pieces of equipment to fight the blaze. Despite such forces, the fire engulfed a significant part of the huge facility. Russian authorities have not yet disclosed the circumstances that led to such a large-scale fire.
What is happening fits into the overall picture of serious problems in Russia's rear and logistics infrastructure. Some targets are being targeted by Ukrainian long-range drones. For example, yesterday, a massive fire broke out after a drone attacked an Ozon warehouse near Samara.
However, the story of the warehouse near St. Petersburg could turn out to be fundamentally different. If the information about the partisan movement's involvement is confirmed, it would mean that the threat to Russian facilities comes not only from the air, but also directly from within Russia itself. There is no official confirmation of sabotage yet. However, the report of a possible guerrilla operation, coupled with the lack of information about a drone attack, makes this theory one of the key to understanding what happened.
