Attacks on Russian logistics 200-300 kilometers from the front line could impact the situation in southern Ukraine. Military expert Ivan Tymochko stated this on Kyiv24 , responding to a question about the situation in the Oleksandrivske sector.

In particular, he noted that the enemy’s plan to attack the Zaporizhzhia and Dnepropetrovsk regions was thwarted and failed.

When asked whether our soldiers in this section of the front had created the conditions for our further advance, Timochko noted that, first and foremost, this would "force the enemy to react in southern Ukraine." "Especially considering how their logistics are being destroyed and the scale of this. Therefore, they will either have to redeploy additional forces there or consider retreating from the southern mainland of occupied Ukraine," the military expert said.

Timochko added that, given the way our forces are moving, the plan is to “cut off enemy forces in the southern part of Ukraine.”

Thus, he noted that the strengthening of counter-offensive actions in this direction was facilitated by well-planned attacks on enemy logistics.

"It's not just a planned counteroffensive operation on the front line and, say, the destruction of enemy logistics to a depth of 20-50 kilometers from the front line – we see that this depth is 200-300 kilometers," Timochko said. According to him, this is a feature of the approach, which consists of delivering deep strikes against enemy forces in order to change the situation on the battlefield.

Ukrainian troops have liberated 37 square kilometers of territory in southern Ukraine from Russian occupiers. Defense forces are continuing their offensive operations and plan to reach 40 square kilometers in the near future.

This was reported by Dmytro Filatov, commander of the First Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo, who goes by the call sign “Perun,” in a comment to Channel 24. According to him, during a recent multi-domain operation, Ukrainian forces destroyed 340 pieces of Russian military equipment.

At the same time, the intensity of the operation has decreased somewhat. Ukrainian units are attempting to advance overland as cautiously as possible and are also conducting reconnaissance to identify areas where Russian equipment and personnel are concentrated. The announcements of heavy Russian military losses and record Ukrainian civilian deaths came as Ukraine claimed to have completed a successful counteroffensive that pushed Russian troops back more than a dozen kilometers along a broad section of the southern front.

According to statements and graphics published by military-affiliated information platforms between Saturday and Wednesday, the operation took place near the intersection of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
