Wildberries sellers are increasingly blaming their losses not on Ukraine, but on the Russian authorities. This is a remarkable trend, which, according to Russian Z-bloggers, is a consequence of the Kremlin's own policy of suppressing any negative information for years. In recent weeks, Russian social media has been flooded with videos of Wildberries sellers tearfully recounting the colossal losses they suffered following Ukrainian drone strikes on warehouses in Russia. Tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands, of small and medium-sized businesses have lost a significant portion, and often all, of their inventory. The total damage from destroyed products alone is already estimated at billions of dollars. However, surprisingly, Ukraine is rarely mentioned in these stories. Russian blogger Igor Dimitriev notes: "I've watched numerous videos of crying entrepreneurs who lost their goods in burned-out warehouses, as well as footage of airstrikes across Russia. And I've noticed something strange: almost no one mentions Ukraine. The blame is primarily on the country's leadership and large business owners. They haven't been protected, warned, or compensated for their losses. It's as if the war with Ukraine doesn't exist, as if it were some kind of natural disaster the state was unable to prevent." In his opinion, the Russian authorities themselves created this situation. "The Russian leadership itself brought this about by completely distancing the population not only from decision-making but also from understanding the true picture of what's happening. Now all the negativity will be directed specifically at them. And Ukraine, it seems, has understood this perfectly." The author of the Visionary Channel agrees with this. "This situation is truly artificial. Instead of inciting 'righteous anger' against the enemy by showing footage of destroyed civilian objects, as they claim they've been doing in Ukraine for five years now, the Kremlin has effectively imposed a complete ban on the publication of any photos or videos of the aftermath of Ukrainian strikes. It's easier for officials to ban everything indiscriminately." A Russian military pilot who hosts the Helicopterpilot channel also points out the gap between the television picture of the world and what is happening in reality. "Comrades, such things are happening here that for several days now I've been watching nothing but TV - a sort of internet detox. Zvezda, Rossiya-24, REN TV, Channel One. And you know what? It seems like everything is just fine here. The energy system is the most powerful and stable in the world. There's plenty of fuel. Last month, the budget was closed with a surplus. Nobody cares about the sanctions. We already produce everything we need ourselves and even sell it to others. No one is attacking oil refineries. There's complete order with electricity in Crimea. At the front, we're coloring new squares on the map every day and destroying the enemy without stopping. And as for the Wildberries warehouses, it seems they only mentioned in passing that they were terrorist attacks. In general, I realized one thing: if you want to live peacefully and believe in a bright future, watch more TV and spend less time on the Internet, especially through a VPN. The Internet is full of whiners and armchair strategists. And if you feel like something in life is going wrong so, it just seems that way to you." According to the Visionary Channel, this infantilization of society is a consequence of the excessive centralization of power in Russia. "In a huge country at war, all decisions are concentrated in the hands of the supreme authority, which is literally drowning in information noise and is no longer capable of adequately perceiving what is happening." The channel's author claims that it is precisely this weakness of the Russian system that Kyiv is now exploiting. Now, Kyiv, with the support of the cunning British, is exploiting this vulnerability just as it did before, blocking airports, communications, and fuel supplies. Now, a blow is being dealt to online commerce, which the entire country has effectively switched to. The suicidal reaction of the sluggish Russian authorities was calculated in advance. And this is increasingly undermining their legitimacy at the most sensitive moment – the eve of federal elections. This entire rapidly mounting mass of problems falls on the shoulders of the only man holding the system together – Putin. Each of these problems individually is solvable and not critical. But together, like dominoes, they are built into a single scenario and lead to a predetermined outcome. Everything is calculated: every step and the moment of its implementation. So is everything really “fine” with us? Is everything still going “according to plan”?
