Fordham woman grazed by bullet; alleged gunman in custody

Let's get right to that breaking news this monday morning. A woman is in the hospital after bullets rang out inside of a Fordham building overnight. We've got news 12 Jonathan Calypso on Jerome Avenue with the very latest on this investigation. Jonathan, what can you tell us Marcy? That's right now. We're learning from police this morning that a person of interest is in custody and believed to be the gunman who shot at a 34 year old woman inside of that building just right behind me. Now this all unfolded just before 1 30 this morning. Now take a look at video on your screen that shows you the moment a woman is wheeled out of the building. This is after police say she was grazed in the ear, she was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. Now once again, this all happened at 2700 Jerome Avenue. Moments after the chaos, people could be seen hugging each other with tears in their eyes at the building's doorsteps and police taking a person of interest into custody as he's heard yelling to someone relax please. Now police tell us at this time it's still unclear what led up to that shooting and they also couldn't confirm if the victim and her attacker knew each other. But we're also learning from police this morning that that person of interest that's now in custody has also not been charged yet.
