The Philadelphia Eagles are going all in on this...

The Philadelphia Eagles are going all in on this as coach Nick Sirianni has made it known to the league that this year will be different on offense and we'll break down what this means for the Eagles offense moving forward and how much confidence coach Sirianni has in new offensive coordinator Shawn Mannion and we'll talk all about this and more on another episode of Eagles Digest. Welcome on in everyone to Eagles Digest. My name is Alex Brooks. Hope you guys are having a great day so far and as we discuss this Eagles offseason I know it's a little quiet right now but we're going to talk about how much confidence Nick Sirianni has in offensive coordinator Shawn Mannion. We're going to talk about what this means for the Eagles offense and really just project where are they going to be at the end of the season and really see you know how much of potential this Eagles offense has to really thrive with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley and we're going to talk all about that in just a little bit but before we do this video is brought to you by our sponsor PrizePix. PrizePix is America's number one SportsPix app. It's the best way to get in on all the action when it comes to live sports. But getting into the news today as Nick Sirianni had this to say about offensive coordinator Shawn Mannion and this was a very big compliment to you know the new offensive coordinator and really makes you as you know makes everyone as Eagles fans feel much better about this situation. He was saying this dude loves football and he loves to work I mean I've really enjoyed being around him and just his desire sometimes we think man he's talented about everybody he's just got it but it doesn't happen without whether it's a player whether it's Shawn doesn't happen without just the obsession to get better and Shawn has this obsession to get better this obsession with his craft which is why he's very excelled in this profession so he's someone who is wanting to get better as a play caller and someone who I think the Eagles are really trying to put in as the big spotlight and the big you know you know piece to this new Eagles offense because when we look at this Eagles you know offense that is going to be under Shawn Mannion you got to see how much he he has to play with he has to make sure that all of these guys are touching the ball you know at a consistent rate you got Jalen Hurts there who had you know in his terms a little bit of a down season but he is someone who I think can really you know excel in this Shawn Mannion system and try to get the ball out in a high profile passing attack and then you got Saquon Barkley Saquon Barkley if he is going to get back to the 2,000 yard rusher that he was two years ago then this Eagles offense is going to be very very lethal and it's going to be really you know a a tough out when it comes to you know all the tough teams in the NFC you got Devontae Smith you got Makai Lemon, Dontavian Wicks, and Hollywood Brown everybody is very big on Wicks and how he can project as a wide receiver too or an outside wide receiver opposite of Devontae Smith I'm excited to see his you know his advantage point you know being in a Green Bay Packers system where he worked with Shawn Mannion I think he can bring a lot of different elements to this offense and got different types of wide receivers here you got Devontae Smith who plays you know above the rim and is a really good deep ball you know you know clutch player and then you got Makai Lemon who is over the middle who's going to really help out Jalen Hurts and getting those quick passes and getting those you know easy yards over the middle and then you got Hollywood Brown who is a burner who is going to get down the field in a hurry and when it comes to the tight end position it doesn't stop there you got Dallas Gotter you got Eli Stowers both guys who are going to try to make impacts in this season really a lot to prove for both of these guys Dallas Gotter to try and you know help Eli Stowers but also still produce as a top tight end and then Eli Stowers coming in as a second round pick he is someone who is trying to you know a big chip on his shoulder being you know really overlooked as you know one of the best tight ends in the NFL draft so a lot of players who have a lot to prove and it's going to come with Shawn Mannion it's going to come with what he is he is going to bring to this Eagles offense and really build a philosophy and I think if he has a very successful season this year it is going to be a tough conversation at the end of the day because I've mentioned this multiple times on Eagles Digest that if an offensive coordinator comes in here and he completely revolutionizes this offense and then there's a team who you know say it's the New York Jets say it's you know the Cleveland Browns and they come in there and they fired their head coach and they say oh I want to take Shawn Mannion and I want him to be my play caller head coach are you really going to be willing to leave or really have a guy in there that can you know really revolutionize this offense and then leave a year later I think that's going to be a very tough conversation for the Philadelphia Eagles so it's very you know boom or bust when it comes to the offensive coordinator position that the Eagles have had since 2021 you got Shane Steichen in both 21 and 2022 and he was helping Jalen Hurts really evolve as a really good quarterback and then he got Brian Johnson in 2023 who didn't really mesh with this Eagles offense then he got Kellen Moore who completely revolutionized it and the Eagles you know took that run heavy approach all the way to Super Bowl 59 victory then he got Kevin we already know what Kevin Petullo did last year and then 2026 is Shawn Mannion so if it goes by you know what what we've seen the trend that Shawn Mannion should be a good offense coordinator but it's going to come down to the details it's going to come down to coaching because at the end of the day I know a lot of people are very iffy on Jalen Hurts around the media I'm not iffy about I think he is going to have an exceptional season under a new offensive coordinator but you got to know that this is another system that Jalen Hurts has to learn he's learned multiple different systems multiple different offenses at this point he's someone who I think really just has a big chip on his shoulder a big pressure point on his shoulder right now and a lot of people are going to be talking if he doesn't have a good season but I think at the end of the day he's going to mess with Jim or he's going to mess mesh with Shawn Mannion and he is going to take this offense to a new level because at the end of the day it is about Jalen Hurts it's about this Eagles offense to be willing to you know put in the work and be you know the offense that we've seen be very successful in this tenure with Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts and I know how much a lot of people are really trying to you know put him down and try to be like he is not a good quarterback he is a good quarterback he is someone who has taken the Eagles to two Super Bowls and he has played well in both of them and he's someone who gets a lot of pressure just from being in Philadelphia but at the end of the day you are going to want someone in here that is going to push you know this Eagles offense to a new level hopefully Jalen Hurts can do that in 2026 let me know down in the comments what you guys feel of this new offensive coordinator and Shawn Mannion do you believe that this is going to be a big jump for Jalen Hurts in this Eagles offense let me know down
