The NFL is terrified of the Eagles...

The NFL is terrified of the Philadelphia Eagles as CBS Sports just released their 25 under 25 list and there are multiple players that made the list on the Eagles and this just proves to the whole league that the Eagles are not going away anytime soon as they continue to build their team through the draft and we'll discuss what this means for the 2026 season as well as the future for the What's going on guys? Alex Brooks back here with another episode here on Eagles Digest. Hope you guys enjoyed the weekend as we have to discuss what this Eagles team is going to look like in 2026 and beyond because right now there is always when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles they always feel like they are at a crossroads every single season. It's either they are going to you know go to the Super Bowl and everything's fine or they miss out on you know the Super Bowl and kind of going out on a wild card exit and you think everybody's going to get fired and the whole roster is just going to go up in flames. So right now this list that CBS Sports released really just puts in perspective how much Howie Roseman is able to able to do in the past couple of years and really how how much of a bright future this Eagles team has even just after winning a Super Bowl last season. We'll discuss all of this and more on this episode of Eagles Digest but before we do if you want more videos like this we have videos every single day of the week so make sure you guys are subscribed to Eagles Digest as 69% of you guys are currently not subscribed to the channel because it is free and our goal is to be at 2500 subscribers here on the channel so we really appreciate all the support you guys can give us and if you want to stay up to date make sure you hit that subscribe button hit the bell so you're notified of all of our videos but getting into this episode as there was a list released by CBS Sports saying how the Eagles had three players in the top 25 players under 25 and that included 22 Cooper Dejean 17 Jalen Carter and 15 at Quinn Yon Mitchell and when I look at this when I look at these players from Carter and Mitchell it just makes it like really you know really you know you're really fortunate that you have these players on your team because they are you know under 25 years old I mean they are still very young and they've also done so well in this league so far you got Cooper Dejean and Quinn Yon Mitchell making their first All-Pro in their second season as a duo and then you got Jalen Carter who is trying to go for a contract but he is also a game wrecker in his own right so I think this really just makes it you know really you know puts in perspective how much you know the Eagles have right now and really just got to appreciate the golden age that the Eagles have of their football team with winning you know a Super Bowl and getting to two Super Bowls in the last five years and kind of you know talking about a couple players at a time we're going to start off with Jalen Carter. Jalen Carter has been you know under a lot of scrutiny even when he was in his college days he is someone who I think a lot of you know people don't you know really know how to get a grasp on they know that he is a game wrecker but they also know that he does have some you know off the field antics as well and you know people don't feel that he has a lot of professionalism you know once he does get the contract and I think when you look at his on the field play if you have Jalen Carter in your lineup you are a dangerous team that's how the Eagles were able to get to the Super Bowl having him Jordan Davis and especially last year this team was really good when Jalen Carter was in there when he wasn't in there it just looked like a different team for a little bit so Jalen Carter I still think he is one of the most important Eagles on this team and I think if you have him on this team you are going to be competing because he has that championship pedigree already in college and in the NFL and if he doesn't make that sack on Matthew Stafford the Eagles are not going they did they will not win their second Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs so gotta give it all for Jalen Carter and when we go over to the duo of Quinion Mitchell and Cooper Dejean we're gonna start off with Q because he's been you know one of the most you know locked down corners that the Eagles have seen in their franchise history and they have you know been able to appreciate what he's been able to do you know in 16 games played last season doesn't have a lot of interceptions that is something where we see that you know he's been able to make some interceptions in the playoffs but he hasn't had a regular season interception in two seasons but he is still a very young cornerback and he still has a lot to learn even though he is you know one of the best young cornerbacks outside cornerbacks in the league got 45 tackles 35 solo tackles and a fumble recovery in 2025 only 24 years old so he still has a lot more to go as a cornerback and he is a very you know locked down guy who the Eagles really appreciate that they have on their team because he is going into this his third season and now he is going to be expected to be a leader in that in that CB room because you look at Quinion Mitchell you got Cooper Dejean and then you got a lot of guys who you know are are been here but you gotta have your your best guys to be leaders whether it's leader by example or a vocal leader because I think that's what the Eagles are missing in their secondary and it's interesting to see if Quinion Mitchell will take that mantle especially being maybe a little bit of a soft-spoken guy when he's not on the field but we'll have to see when it comes to Quinion Mitchell but he's been able to flourish as a cornerback and I'm excited to see what he can do in his third year and then going over to the other guy Cooper Dejean you know how much of an impact how much of a fan I am of Cooper Dejean if you guys have been you know loyal fans or loyal subscribers of Eagles Digest I absolutely love Cooper Dejean he is one of you know the best Eagles picks he had that pick six in the Super Bowl has had memorable moments in his Eagles career in only two seasons and he has been someone who has given the Eagles a lot of stability like Quinion Mitchell Cooper Dejean has been a really good slot corner as well as having that versatility with safety that he's going to have this year it just makes a lot of Eagles fans in the Eagles organization it makes you feel more comfortable when you're watching this Eagles defense go to work because you have anchors at all three positions when you have Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis get Zach Bond Jihad Campbell and then you have Cooper Dejean and Quinion Mitchell in the back end you can be so comfortable and you can you can watch this Eagles defense like I was last year I was more worried about the offense than I was the defense I knew the defense was going to shut them down at some point and I knew the you know the offense just needed to score some points but when we look at overall Cooper Dejean Quinion Mitchell's they're going to be staples in this Eagles defense for a while that's why I don't think the Eagles are going to try and pay you know guys like Nolan Smith they're going to try to save some money so they can bank on both Dejean and Quinion Mitchell to be the future you know cornerbacks of the Philadelphia Eagles so I definitely love what Cooper Dejean has done in his career having that All-Pro Pro Bowl season last year just been able to be a bright light in a secondary that really needed it they he they really needed it after you know a lot of bad cornerback play in their history I think the the last really good corner I mean you got Darius Slay obviously but when you're looking back before that you know you got it like got like Byron Maxwell a lot of guys that just don't fit what the Eagles needed at the cornerback position so Howie Roseman definitely struck gold when it came to that position and everything when it came to getting these guys in the building and you know before we talk more about Howie Roseman and the giraffe class of the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to develop over the past couple of seasons just wanted to take a moment to talk about how sports betting changed the sponsoring this video and you know kind of just talking about what Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to do you know in their draft class you got to really give it to him being the you know really the you know the main guy in getting this talent in the building and we all know how much Howie Roseman you know deserves a statue he deserves a gold jacket at the end of his career and I don't think it's going to end anytime soon with his track record because if we if you guys don't remember back in the early 2010s when he got his job back yes he drafted Carson Wentz but he wasn't a really good drafter I mean it took a while for him to you know really get good at drafting but once that Jalen Rager pick was you know done and he saw him drafting Jalen Rager over Justin Jefferson something switched in Howie Roseman's mind and he definitely just went on a generational streak that is continuing to this day you got in 2023 you got Carter you got Nolan Smith and you got Tyler Steen they're all starters you got three starters in that draft class a lot of people only get maybe one maybe two sometimes they get none you got three starters in 2023 that are on the team right now and that are continuing to make plays and in 2024 you got Quinion Mitchell Cooper Dejean and Jay Lux Hunt back to back to back starters and probably back to back to back pro bowlers at the end of their career I mean Jay Lux Hunt he was one of the best defensive guys on the team last year and he's going to continue to get more reps and then I obviously mentioned Mitchell and Dejean they're both both going to be really good you know all pro players for the rest of their career and then you got 2025 you got Jihad Campbell and Andrew Makuba both are going to be impact starters this year at safety for Makuba and linebacker for Jihad Campbell so knowing how much Howie Roseman has been able to you know take the time learn how to draft and really just you know not even just draft for need but you know draft the best player available I think that's helped the Eagles to kind of transform into one of the most prestigious organizations in all of the NFL so I really got to you know give it to Howie Roseman for getting these guys on on the Philadelphia Eagles and really just putting them in the position to succeed and getting these getting these impact players to help this Eagles team out because at the end of the day this is the reason why the Eagles are competing every single year is because you see how well the Eagles draft with Howie Roseman and I don't think it's going to stop you got Makai Lemon got Eli Stowers and I'm excited to see what those guys can do in their rookie year but you know that is going to do it for another edition of Eagles Digest hope you guys have a great rest of your day we're going to have more coverage when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles so make sure you guys are subscribed so you don't miss out on any content when it comes to the birds
